Colin Powell was asked that question in a different verbage when he was secretary of state and said the international diplomacy is not one size fits all, and that we can't make war on everyone but that the goal is still democracy.

In the last 107 years we've seen on Earth the number of democracies go from like 10 to however many there are now is it more than half the nations on Earth?

The trend is towards democracy.

We shouldn't criticize America for not liberating all these countries, but the reality with the foreign policy of Repubilcans and Democrats since world war 2 is to get involved when either oil is there or theres a risk of WMD that could adversely affect us, and as a result we make up this chant about liberating the people,

The main reason why the United States is hated by common people in third world countries is not because we are free but because we have not helped them to become free in their own country.

Your question shouldn't be why haven't we made them free its what is our plan TO make them free, and with what time table.

Our country elects a leader every four years and that person lately has soundbytes to get elected and no long term vision for Earth.

We have had Presidents like Bill CLinton and Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon and Roosevelt and Truman who had this long term vision, Kennedy too perhaps.

Now we have 10 weeks before Iowa and we have Republicans and Democrats taking shots on Jay Leno.

Nixon did the sock it to me on Laugh-in so,

The difference between Nixon and Barack and Thompson is, in 1968 Nixon had been a congressman, and a vice president, and nixon was brilliant.
While Barack and Thompson are smart, they just aren't nixon.

For Juandos, we need to be sure some of these countries support cucumber agriculture and have a condom industry , but um in the larger sense and out of a sense of respect for human rights, we ought to leave these other countries alone.
There is no way to be sure thousands and thousands of innocent people won't be killed as a result of Bush spreading more democracy.
Look at what happened in Iraq.
Back in the day when they had Saddam, they also had running water and electricity for more than 2 hours a day.

Some of those have in common the banking/monetary system.

Democracy is something you can't impose to others, otherwise is not appreciated nor valued. Democracy most be fought by those who rightfully want it and it will be defended with courage forever.

What, and give the left wing liberal loonies 21 reasons to howl to the high heavens about invasions, soldiers getting killed, money being wasted, forcing democracy on people who cannot handle it?
I don't think so.
