The fact is that both Republicans and Democrats really don't care that much about poverty... or they don't know what to do about it. SCHIP was an idea to provide healthcare to children that have a difficulty to get healthcare. It was more about children than poverty. Personally, I don't have a problem with that.
With that said though I think you have twisted the issues of SCHIP and turned it into "rich" children getting healthcare over poor children. That's a huge exaggeration (maybe a real source based on the actual proposed bill could prop up your argument; I am really suspicious that you didn't quote the proposal).
You also mention that 1/3 of children don't have childcare and immediately attack the Democratic party without addressing the startling statistic you gave. That shows me that you also don't care about these 1/3 of children but you are just using them to attack the Democrats.

The Democrats actions just prove they are wh@ring for votes. They will stoop to any level to grease their way into the White House (where maybe the Clintons can steal MORE furniture).
No, Democrats don't care about kids. Just look at all their legislation they know hurts kids. Dems just want votes. Look at Hillary. She keeps proposing new, costly entitlement programs, hoping one will spark enough interest to propel her into the White House.
Bush has a backbone. He stood up against their slimy vote-getting tactics. Bush actually wants money intended for the poor to go to the truly poor.

if the Dems were in office no one would need to worrie about free health care because there would still be jobs for the people with benifits.
The jobs are now going to Mexico and China plus our National debt has gone out of sight.
I think our fuel prices have gone through the roof as well.

The democrats just want to make Bush look bad.
So they try to make us believe is was all just about the poor children and wheeled out their sympathy kid.
When all the ugly warts show up on this bill the standard DNC reply.
Republicans don't care about children.

Politics plain and simple. They see an opportunity to use children's health care to make political points. They need to take steps to get the 3 million or so uninsured children that are currently eligible for the program signed up instead of playing politics..........

Your comments are as useless as yourself. So they refused to require that 95% sign up... what was their percentage then? Or were they just looking to cover anyone.
You are stupid. Bush's actions denied ALL children this care.
