I don't recall us ever forming a formal alliance with the Kurds, especially the Kurdish rebels. Like I have said before: Kurdish rebels launching attacks at Turkey will be deserving of whatever they dish back. They started it, long before this whole Armenian resolution (it was somewhat small time news then). They went into Turkey and launched small attacks and raids, and Turkey has a right to protect its sovereignty.

My answer is: Yes America will protect our Kurdish Allies from Turkish military. As for the PKK the recognized terrorists by most countries in the UN they will have to answer for their actions. I do believe America will make that happen.

No, American troops will be told not to fire on Turkish troops, he'll probably share intelligence with the Turks as well.
And the Kurds are not terrorists, they were and have been our allies against the Iraqis since the first Gulf war.

Good answer Michael -- but there will also be larger attacks on the Kurdish people as a whole, don't forget that. The Turks have committed many atrocities on the Kurds

Bush tells Turkey you should not go after the terrorist that attacked your country. What ever happened to his war on terror, now it just war on people who don't like America and no other country should be able to defend them selfs.
He could explain to Turkey than Iraq is a quagmire that you can't get out of and will drain your national budget, you know 'do as I say, not as I do'

Hahaha! Bush won't even protect AMERICANS. Turkey getting tense about the success of Kurds in Northern Iraq was predicted long ago.
To answer your question directly: No.

He should, but that would be breaking with tradition of no one ever having protected the Kurds, ever.
