I personally feel that the EU is a despotism run by self serving bereuxcrats who have no interest in Democracy.
The structure of the EU today is thus :
A nation elects a govt, that govt elect their MEP (of which the people have no say) who then goes to Brussels and approve legislation that their nation will never hear about untill they are forsed to adhere to it...
Now this doesn't seem altogether fair. Mostly when foreign nations who have no knowladge of another nation have such power to decide how their live.

IF and this is a SUPER IF!!! the EU is ever going to work, it is going to have to restructure its political protocol and allow for a more democratic process.
...but that is really a longshot.

If a powerful country were to invade a weaker country, overthrow their government and annex them into their nation, would that be considered imperialism or some sort of "forced unification"? Now keep in mind, the newly annexed country would be allowed to vote and elect representatives to serve in the conquering country's legislature, thereby having a voice in the government.

And after you decide whether that is imperialism or unification, tell me whether it would be a good thing or a bad thing.

What is a Veteran?

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of up to
and including their life. And there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand that.

Are you one of these people who don't understand, or just don't care?

This is getting scary! It's not a question of Republican or Democrat. The ideas that we fought so hard against in WWII have taken roots in our media. Don't get mad at me, you know who they are, and they must be stopped. Actually, most of you do not know who they are. This really is getting scary.

would any people who now live under a republican head of state prefer being a republic or would you like too see yourself live under a monarch as your head of state ?
i myself, have a monarch as my head of state. and i'm quite happy too live with this system. mainly because putting the word ''president'' before any of our present politicians fills me
with horror.
example - president thatcher/blair 'urgh'
always been curious if the peoples of greece, romania etc would like their monarchs to return. seeing as they had no say in their leaving in first place.
same question is open too countries that where once colonial possessions, would you prefer a a monarch too return as your head of state
example:- trinidad&tobago, ghana, fiji
or remove the monarch and have a president as your head of state
example:- new zealand, jamaica, barbados

You want to see the real-world problems with right-wing extremism? Here's a good example from Big Sky Country.

With Montana facing major wildfires, senior Montana Republican lawmaker John Sinrud - who heads the state House's appropriations committee - used a legislative hearing this week to attack Gov. Brian Schweitzer's (D) administration for - get ready for this - trying to prevent homes and buildings from being burnt down. At the hearing, he asks "Why not just let [buildings] burn?" Ah yes, what a refreshing dose of "compassionate" conservatism.

Ok sports people i have a serious question.?
my son plays football for the ymca. All of a sudden they changed the rules that nobody over 100 lbs can carry the ball, the reason being is that if kids that are carrying the ball weigh more other kids wont be able 2 tackle them. what the hellll is that!!!! parents of the whimpy kids complaining, now the bigger kids dont get a chance to learn how 2 play those positions, is this discrimination, now my son wants 2 lose 20 lbs so that he can play this position and hes not fat. he was running 2day, rollerblading, and working out at the ymca, and he says that parents only want skinny kids in the league.
He is not fat and now he thinks he is fat and he is only 10 years old.
