No, I had a conviction for decieving a taxi driver, it was spent a long time ago, when I had a police check done, to perform drama, including for children at school, it was completly clear of crime.
Also when I filled up the form, I put down the details of that conviction, and anything else which could have been interpreted as suspect, which I didn't need to put down

Yes it does show up on police checks, but depending on which job is being applied for dictates whether you have to declare that record.
1. Any criminal offence always remains 'on record'.
2. If a conviction is spent you do not have to declare the conviction under the 'Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974' - unless the organisation that is asking is exempt from that Act which it must state if it is.
3. Only organisations with good reason may be exempt from the Act (i.e. those working with vulnerable people etc).
4. If an offence is not 'spent' then you must declare it to any employer who choses to ask.

a spent conviction does not have to be recorded on a job application if that is what you are really wanting to know.
the spent conviction will appear on CRB CHECK but it will only be referred to as a spent conviction no details of the offence are given.
the only ppl that will know what the spent conviction is for will be the police for there own perusal and once spent cannot be use d against you, to all intents and purpose you will have in fact a clean sheet as far as the courts are concerned.
a spent conviction will only be for minor offences anyway. because all serious criminal convictions can never be recorded as spent. so the mere fact that it is spent does not mean you have a serious criminal record anyway

For a activity the place a CRB verify is mandatory the checklist is there to be discovered for existence. Your criminal checklist is there for existence notwithstanding some jobs are actually not too annoying approximately previous deeds as long as you're a various guy or woman. After 5 years some convictions are seen as spent and you will not could declare them in any respect. This additionally refers back to the could declare convictions whilst making use of for insurances and so on.

depends on the situation. Pre legal adult stuff tends to be sealed. If your an adult it could possible be there for life. The job(s) and such you plan to do might also influence if this shows up on a report or not. If you are going into banking, securities, stocks, etc. chances are if its an adult conviction it will show up and remain forever.

You need to declare it on your forms for 5 years, but if checked, the conviction remains on file forever. My niece got in with a bad crowd years ago and that was what she was told by her parole officer.
