like the rest of America can't see the truth about Iraq?

Because to them the "truth" is obvious -- and anyone who doesn't agree with them must be wrong.

At both ends of the spectrum, you have the "you disagree with me, and are therefore wrong and evil" nonsense.

In the middle, you have the people who evaluate the facts, and come to conclusions -- and may come to different conclusions -- but at least most of those in the middle are willing to discuss the facts, not just rant about their conclusions.

Invading Iraq was no doubt a blunder. Electing Bush for a second term was no doubt a blunder. Kerry running on the Democratic ticket in 04 was no doubt a blunder.
The people who have paid the biggest price for these blunders are the Iraqi people. Of all the candidates in the presidential race, I think Joe Biden has the best idea on how to settle Iraq. I firmly believe withdrawing troops from Iraq without stabilizing the region would just be another blunder in a long string of blunders.
Can the problems in Iraq wait for the 08 elections to be resolved? I doubt it.

Coragryph said it really well. People are very passionate about this issue. And when you get people who are really passionate about something, they let emotions get in the way of rational, reasonable thought. Truth is in the eye of the beholder sometimes, especially with this whole Iraq mess. I just hope something good starts happening sooner or later. There is a long road to travel here, and a lot of mess to clean up as well.

I prefer to listen to those that have been there and witness the success. They are not biased by Bush hatred and hatred for America. The media that will not report anything good that goes on there is agenda driven. That's why you see the Democrat candidates in a two to one ratio to Republicans candidates on talk shows. The questions asked of the Democrats are all soft while the Republicans get the tough ones, which I think is good. That way the people get more insight to the Republican candidates.

Your statement is incorrect. If the American people were truly against the continued efforts to stabilize Iraq and fight Islamic aggressors who have no civility the outcry would not be able to be ignored. There is no such outcry. What there is is a minority that will settle for defeat and a media that amplifies their voice.

Who says that the majority is always right, well the majority that answers the polls anyway? Because there's a poll out saying that 70% are against what we're doing in Iraq, that automatically makes the other 30% wrong, and they should just blindly throw their lot in with the majority? You always get one extreme calling the other extreme wrong, and vice versa, it doesn't prove that everyone that supports what we're doing in Iraq is out to prove everyone wrong, perhaps they just believe in the cause.

I support Iraq, because I was there. How much time did you spend in Iraq? What are your sources for what is going on there?

Yeah answer those questions and we will talk.

I do.
I was against going into Iraq and getting Saddam.
I was hoping that Bush would ignore the Democrats that demanded he attack Iraq.
Because I knew the Democrats would end up surrendering & supporting the Insurgents & Terrorists.
Democrats ALWAYS betray us.
They did it in Nam. And now Iraq.

Although I was Against it, I Now support staying there until Victory.

We CAN'T allow the Terrorists & the Democrats to Defeat us.
No Way!!!!!
