Muqtada al-Sadr is aligned with Iran and is the top dog in Iraq.

mckenziecalhoun (below) Innocent or guilty of what?

This guy fled to Iran when the US went after his stronghold city about 1 1/2 years ago. He isn't guilty of anything. He IS aligned with Iran. That isn't a crime, just a fact.

I just wish the USA would get out of the middle east and leave those people alone.

Actually, al-Sadr is not directly aligned with Iran -- he is Shiite, as is the Iran, and as is the current Iraqi PM.

Al-Sadr wants power for himself and his own group -- as long as Iran (or anyone else) doesn't get in the way, he's quite happy to not fight any of them.

We tend to stick with the idea that people are "innocent until proved guilty" even if they aren't Americans. It's even in the U.N. bill of rights.

Chi Guy, are you saying you don't believe in that?

I'm starting to avoid the politics area like a disease, it is so annoying and and simply amazes me how ALL THE IDIOTS in the world gather here, just to show off how dumb they are, oh, and to make fun of Bush.
