LOL
well it mainly started back with Clinton.
Yes Both Parties have corruption, scandal and ideas the other side disagrees with. Gee that's just been happening since long before Julius Caesar was in power, in fact it was an old story then as well. It is nothing new...
The Rules changed when Clinton was in office. the explosion of media and the Internet made it possible to get information instantly, spread rumors, expose scandal and give feed back.
Suddenly you could have people respond to politics more directly. When Clinton was impeached many in the left became angry thinking it was a witch hunt. using the Internet and media they began to point out flaws with the conservatives. Conservatives responded in kind.
Like two guys with expensive car radios, the left and the right keep "Turning up the volume" to out do the other.
Liberals have a scandal the conservatives pounce. the Conservatives have a scandal the Liberals pounce.
The one thing I notice is the lack of respect. Growing up I saw a begrudging respect given to people of opposing views. now it is the "Jerry springer" effect. the rational people are drowned out and replaced with the loudest and rudest, who ever can make the biggest noise.
"Ha ha your party is full of Hypocrites!"
"Ha Ha so is yours!"
I mean it is ridiculous.
Many Liberals ignore their parties faults, as do many Conservatives.
No party is clean and never will be. Why? because we are all human. Humans have faults and vices. so unless you eliminate the human equasion or get epoepl to act like adults and with respect Politics will be like this forever.

the idea of parties or now a selective group is causing the demise of society; by the people and for the people is what this country was founded on by our founding fathers; it has been become two groups now and not for the good of the people by the group of the political party; only the people can change this but we all have to get off our backside and make it happen; make it unacceptable and bring the point back home that these groups represent constitutes not necessarily members of the parties but people who believed that they would represent our interest in Washington. If they are not, we need to have our voices heard loud and clear.

The simple observation is that if you felt your party was more hypocritical than the other, you probably would not belong to it.......As for me, I have always been an Independent (now called unaffiliated) voter. I detest political parties. Don't want anyone telling me how to think, claiming to represent me, then doing whatever they want as soon as they are elected. So, I try to decide based on issues and qualifications regardless of party affiliation.

Very good point!! It seems that we get caught up in those kinds of arguments, using them as justification. The party-lines dig in their heels and overlook the fact that the anger should be directed at the corruption and hypocrisy, it should be directed at the offense, not wasted in condemning and condoning along party lines. It's "do as I say, not as I do" politics in action. Yeah, my red wagon is better than your red wagon... but let's ignore that it's lead-based paint making the wagons pretty.

I think it's because of Bill O'reilly. He started all the hate among conservatives against liberals. Fox feeds off of creating new "wrongs" that conservatives fall for, while dodging the real issues.

Liberals go nuts when they can swarm like flies on a single stink. Conservatives just handle it with dignity and put it out.
