Hi, my wife apparently has a bad check in Texas from before we left. We didnt know about it and it has been racking up interest for 14 months. Does anyone know if there is a statute of limitations for this in texas? Thanks.

I'm thinking about joining the Guard or Reserves but could use people's input on it. I know it's a broad question but maybe some of you can give your two cents. I'm 29 and married and my time is almost up to join. I want to make a decision within days. Thank you.

To rebuild New Orleans? Many parts of that city are below sea level. I know the government waste many millions each year.

The Republican Party claims that it is the moral party, which stands for family values. But their words appear to be empty with the number Republican Senators caught up in perverted behavior. Senator Foley is a pedaphile, Senator Larry Craig is a closet homosexual who engages in sex with anonymous men in public restrooms. Senator David Viter is a married man who solicits sex from prostitutes. Presidential Candidate Rudy Giuliani has been married 3 times, and cheated on his second wife. I am sure that there are more Republican officials who have not yet been caught. My biggest problem with the Republicans is that they are full of hypocrisy.

What kind of a country is this that an ex-president is knocking the current president. Even if he is advertising for his wife, do you think, that is right or wrong ?

I got a speeding ticket (16 over the limit) in a suburb of Los Angeles, and it cost me $323. I did not bother to contest it (although I probably could have with an illegal laser use loophole) because I know that I was guilty of speeding, and decided it would be better to man-up to the charge than to waste taxpayer dollars fighting it. Do you think that the fines are so high because its so easy yet costly to contest a ticket? Do you think fewer people would contest the tickets if the fines were more reasonable? (Sounds like a never ending cycle of increasing fines to me...). Or are the fines just so high to discourage people from repeatedly breaking the law? I know the obvious solution to this is to simply not break the law anymore, and I won't have any more fines.

Regardless of Larry Craig's sexual orientation, is it OK with some people that such an act nearly occurred in a public rest room, as long as the Senator supports "family values?" Is this a good demonstration of "family values?"

They force their "theories" on our children, through the public school system.

Well, I refuse to teach my younguns that homosexuality is natural, and that we evolved from monkeys. That's why I send him to a Christian Academy where he'll learn that we was created by God, and he'll learn to have some good, moral values!

Okay, let's say we 'change direction' and leave Iraq, what will a democratic president, supported by a democratic congress, do to ensure that America is safe from the threat of global islamic terrorism that exists around the world? (Please don't try to argue that terrorism is not a global threat or issue.)

A fence along the border won't do it. First, it'll never really happen. You can't build a fence along the entire U.S. border. Secondly, they don't need to cross the Rio Grande, they're flying into America on first class tickets.

Democrats don't like the patriot act, they don't like us listening in on the phone calls of terrorists, they want to free everyone in Gitmo.

So let's say that the democrats now have the responsibility for keeping America safe. What will they do?

Serious answers only please.

The State Attorney General of New Jersey, Stuart Rabner, has issued a mandate requiring law enforcement officers to notify federal immigration authorities whenever they arrest suspect who is determined to be an illegal alien. Why was this not the policy in the first place? Who benefits from not passing the information on to the proper authorities? Why does it seem that America is affording the illegal’s more rights than it’s citizens?

My ex mistress had a baby. I signed a acknoledgement of paternity paper without reading what it was, was told it was a release form for the baby. She had it covered and I later learned the nurse that was a witness was a good freind of hers. I know it was stupid but I was in a hurry. Now I have been ordered to pay child support which I won't mind if the child is mine. Which I doubt. The baby look noyhing like me and the dates don't add up. Also she told my wife she was a virgin until she meet me so not true. Anyway I know I can still have a dna test done that I need to pay for but will I need a lawyer to patition the court so it's legal?

The political image of USA has been tarnished over the past few years. If you are an American, do you really care that the credibility of USA went from hero to (almost) zero in terms of international politics.

Back when I was taking training for the army in the early 90's, much of the "threat" training involved Soviet tactics. Obviously, in the last 10 years, the military has been used more in peacekeeping type ops and situations like Iraq. I'm not advocating anything for or against the current military deployments. If this is what the military will be doing the next few decades, is our current administration changing the way they are organized, trained, equipped? It is a challenging task to take an armored unit who is trained to fight a large column of T-72's rolling across western Europe and put them into urban combat avoiding streetside bombs.
