Alberto is yet another in a long list of unqualified, texan cronies appointed and controlled by the President. Who in turn is controlled by the VP. It has been the policy of this administration, more so than others, to provide no explaination or real justification for their actions. Instead, they resign. He wasn't treated unfairly.

The President's having a hard time accepting the fact that he now longer has a Republican Senate and House of Representatives and the Democratic House and Senate will question and block some of his moves.

President Bush did appear upset about Alberto Gonzales's resignation but Gonzales was treated in a manner that was ordinary everyday politics. The President and Attorney General Alberto Gonzales were simply to close. Gonzales was managing the justice department and needed to be seeing if he could do as told. But Gonzales did what ever the President told him. Critics questioned if everything the President was asking and receiving was Constitutional. There was a public furor about the firings of Justice Department Attorney's and was it politically motivated ? Alberto Gonzales behaved in a manner that seemed extremely deceptive in front of a Senate panel.

National politics is very tough and Alberto Gonzales got what he deserved.

If any of the resignees were treated unfairly, why were they all smiling when they were on TV? In my opinion, it was behind the scenes they were offered something that made them more money, without the hoopla of government office. They could hide behind the scene, collect your tax dollars and laugh all the way to the bank, because their buddy GW gave them an 'honorable' way out of a pricarious situation, and I don't think GW thought it up by himself either, I think it was done by the idiot in charge of Homeland Security, you know the guy who looks like he was cloned from a Nazi movie?

I have no recollection of what you are referring to, or to put it another way: I have the answer that you want, I am just not comfortable giving it to you in a straightforward and honest manner at this time.

EDIT: I understand your question, and its a good question; at this time all I can say is that at this point in time I am not in a position to comment as to the truth of the matter.

Have you ever read: The Peter Principle
Gonzales was, at the very least, in over his head.
