yes, i could offer to marry but i dont want to be rushed to marry someone..i think that you have 3 months to get married if someones enters the u.s.

i was just wondering what it all involves on how to come to u.s. legally...and how long the process take....months? years?

To come and live in the US legally, you need a job, so the US employer would have to sponsor a work visa. To get this you need to be highly skilled, prove that you are not taking away a job from an American. The visa is a capped visa which means only so many are handed out each year.

Being on a work visa would allow his US employer to sponsor the green card, he could not sponsor himself for either the work visa or the green card,

After the number of years you can apply for a green card. He would have to wait a number of years to apply for US citizenship after getting the green card.

The other option would be to get married to a US citizen and s/he would have to 'sponsor' them. Again this would take a number of years from start to finish.

Once he gets a green card or citizenship, he'll be able to cross the border back and forth whenever he wants to. He should go to the US State Department web pages to get information about how to immigrate. It's extremely difficult for Mexicans to get in permanently and legally, except through family reunification visas.

You could offer to marry him. Or tell him to apply using the instructions below and expect a very long wait, unless he has money to invest or a particular skill that is needed.

I'd offer to put you in touch with a friend who is hiring bi-lingual bus drivers, but the fact that he wants to come here for citizenship disqualifies him as an exchange visitor.

If you are in love with him marry him. Although marriage green cards take forever, it is the fastest way. The number of green card issued to spouses of a US citizen have no limit.
