Why are we still playing with them?

America was struck with its first mega-terror attack
by jihadists. In the fall of 1793, the Algerians
seized 11 U.S. merchant ships and enslaved more than
100 Americans.

When word of the attack reached New York, the stock
market crashed. Voyages were canceled in every major
port. Seamen were thrown out of work. Ship suppliers
went out of business. What Sept. 11 did to the U.S.
economy in 2001, the mass shipjacking of 1793 did to
the fledgling U.S. economy in that year.

Accordingly, it took the U.S. Congress only four
months to decide to build a fleet of warships.

But even then, Congress didn't choose war, as
Jefferson prescribed. Instead, while building what
would become the U.S. Navy, Congress sent diplomats to
reason with the Algerians. The U.S. ended up paying
close to $1 million and giving the pasha of Algiers a
new warship, "The Crescent," to win release of 85
surviving American hostages.

....will resign by Labor Day?

I do not see him surviving this scandal. The Republican Party simply cannot afford another Closted, Hypocritical Gay Member.

Mitch McConnell and Company will throw him overboard.

Anyone else agree?

He is now 18(He has graduated high school) and stuck in a real mess. He is unable to get drivers license or legally get a job.

Is there any way he can start the process of becoming a legal citizen(getting his workpapers/drivers-license).. with out being forced to go back to Chile(I mean he was basicly dragged to the U.S.. he had no choice in the matter, not his fault he is stuck in this mess)?

Also, if there is a process.. would starting that process.. get his parents in trouble?

This is the behavior which led to Larry Craig's arrest:

The officer said in his arrest report that Craig began tapping his right foot, touched his right foot to the left foot of the officer and brushed his hand beneath the partition between them. The senator was then arrested.

Hmmmmm.....

why do we want the federal government to fix every thing from Katrina, flooding in the west, storm damage, school systems every thing when its not really their job. they are to keep our boarders and control what goes on between the states. which they cant do because we are making them do everything else. ever hear of insurance? I pay it every one that has something worth value pays it or they dont care enough about it. the real question is why is the federal government doling out tax money to bale out people too stupid to protect what they have. why should the working class tax payer pay for lazy stupid people that didnt care enough to insure their belongings? or bale out states that rather spend their money on parties and good times then to fix the infastructure of the state? its not the federal governments job people. the more they do the more it cost you in money and rights. dont give up your freedom for stupidity.

I hear and see alot of whining because the government doesn't do what " I" want.So I ask, what are you willing to do to help? Would you serve your country, militarily or in some other civic capacity? Run for office or are you just content with sitting back and helping to deteriorate it from within? It was once said "Ask not what your country can do for you,but what you can do for your country!" It is sad that the freedoms that so many have died for are used to rot this great nation from within.
