Ok I was wondering what are other peoples views on gay marriage? You see, we aren't allowed to talk about it in school and during open discussion today, I wanted to bring it up. We were discussing how and why people don't accept others.

It was disgusting on so many levels for this AWOL cokehead to be lecturing people on why Vietnam was so important 35 years later.

1. Bush is willing to admit there is a "legitimate debate" about whether Vietnam was worth figthing. America has believed it was not worth fighting since 1968. Bush isn't listening to America.

2. Bush talks about the "3 million" killed in the aftermath of America's defeat in Vietnam. But he ignores the millions of Vietnamese killed by America during the war. Just as today he ignores the 655,000 Iraqis he has killed with his war.

3. Bush acts as if the Khmer Rouge was brought to power by America's defeat in Vietnam. Again - the Khmer Rouge was NOTHING until America starting bombing Cambodia, and then the Khmer Rouge became the political voice of the peasantry.

4. Bush wants us to feel sorry for the South Vietnamese who were persecuted after America's defeat. Why? From the Vietnamese point of view, they were traitors who sided with foreigners.

TAR HEEL, N.C. (AP) - Federal officials arrested 28 people suspected of identity theft during raids at a Smithfield Foods' slaughterhouse in Tar Heel and in neighborhoods in four surrounding counties.

Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency spokesman Richard Rocha says agents made the arrests in Bladen, Cumberland, Hoke and Robeson counties.

Smithfield spokesman Dennis Pittman says company officials learned about the raid not long before agents arrived at about 4 a.m. to remove some workers from the world's largest hog processing plant.

Rocha says 25 arrestees are Mexican, two Guatemalan and one Honduran. Thirteen were women and 15 were men.

Eight were arrested at the plant, while the rest were arrested at homes.http://www.wistv.com/Global/story.asp?S=6970213&nav=menu36_3

It seems like Iraq is worse than ever. At least 500 people were recently killed in a truck bombing and the country is still wracked by violence. Obviously what we're doing isn't working, but what's next?

Have I missed some stuff? Last I saw was her cut-throat commentary in the LA Times, spewing her love to hate. I can't even remember the object of her revulsion (that would be a good song title). Is anybody tracking her....by that, I do NOT mean "stalking".

One city devises its own immigration policy

MARICELA was eight when, with her parents, she crossed the border from Mexico. Twelve years later, a high-school graduate with an American accent, she is still illegal, unable easily to rent a flat, open a bank account or get a library card. She and the 10,000-12,000 other undocumented immigrants in New Haven, Connecticut, are hoping that a new policy may make their lives better.

As the federal government has proved itself incapable of formulating an immigration policy, local governments are stepping in as they did on health care and the environment. New Haven, home to Yale University, is already considered a sanctuary for illegal immigrants. It offers help in filing federal taxes, and it has ordered its police not to inquire about immigrants' status. Last week it became the first city to issue its own ID card. All 125,000 residents may have one: legal and illegal, children as well as adults.

The card cannot be used for federal or state services, but it will allow holders to use city beaches and libraries. It can also be used as a debit card at many downtown restaurants and shops, and for parking meters. Two banks, First City and Sovereign, have agreed to accept the card, allowing users to open accounts. Until now, most of the city's undocumented immigrants were forced either to carry their cash or to hide it at home, making themselves easy targets for muggers and burglars.

These immigrants, mostly from Latin America, make up most of the block-long application queue at city hall. The card costs $10 for adults and $5 for children. The rest of the programme's costs will be funded by a $250,000 grant from First City.

In June the town's board of aldermen approved the measure by a vote of 25 to one. Less than two days later, immigration and customs enforcement agents conducted home raids on undocumented immigrants, with 32 arrests. Only five of those arrested had outstanding warrants. John DeStefano, New Haven's mayor, suspects the raids were in retaliation for the card. Michael Chertoff, the secretary of homeland security, has denied it. Further raids have been suspended.

City officials say the data collected during the application process will be kept confidential. Information will probably not be shared with the federal government unless someone is under criminal investigation. Michael Wishnie, a Yale law professor who has been retained by the city to fight any court challenges, points out the cards are no different from records already possessed by the Internal Revenue Service and by health and welfare agencies.

While cities like New York, Miami and San Francisco are considering adapting similar programmes, others are trying to tighten laws. Last year Hazelton, a small Pennsylvania town, began fining landlords who rent to illegal immigrants and penalising employers for hiring them. On July 26th a federal judge struck down the measure. The ruling has national implications, as 100 other cities have adopted something similar.

New Haven's anti-immigration groups say the cards violate federal laws against aiding illegal immigration. And they fear the city will be inundated with illegal migrants. But it is not easy to obtain a card. Residents must show valid government-issued photo identification, such as a passport, driving licence or consular document. They must also prove residency in New Haven with two utility bills, a pay stub, tax statements, or documents from health and social-service agencies. About 25-50% of applicants are turned away for not having the papers required. Maricela did not get a card; she could not prove she was a resident of New Haven.

Let's face it , I have seen the distance between the toilets and the workers and it can be as far as 1/8 of a mile away. Do you honestly think they will walk all the way to use it ALL of the time ?
Or prehaps this might be an oppourtune time to get back at WHITEY by giving him a salad dressing that he will never forget.
So think about it. -
Yea I know you wash your food. But it gives me the creeps just to think that something like this may happen. And in my opinion it probably does.

not sure which state or how close it was. From what i understand police can only see nearby states and warrants that are made to be visible. If there is a serious, extraditable Felony warrant for someone anywhere in the country would it be noticed by the police at a traffic stop. Please dont try to scare me just by saying yes because you think im guilty and want me to turn myself in. I have actually been working with police to get this all sorted out as i am innocent and i was pulled over just the other day with no incident..i just want to know if that would confirm everythings been settlled..thank u!

Serious question.

Think about it: they actually take people like Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh seriously.

They still cannot accept that invading Iraq was a huge mistake.

They claim to want to protect freedom yet are opposed to gay marriage and abortion.

They are "pro-life" and simultaneously pro-war.

They call anyone who disagrees with them "anti-american", "anti-semitic", or "troop haters" in order to get their way.

They hate "fags", and then subject us to a rant about how Muslims are backward because they do not allow women the same rights as men.

They are supposedly the opposite of liberals: and yet, if it wern't for the actions of liberals, women wouldn't be allowed to vote and slavery would still be around.

I just want to warn people. Today I received a letter in the mail with a check of $2,970. It said that I won $52,970.00. They are using the name" Payment Trust Services" and they say that they are sponsored by Reader's Digest, Publishers Clearing House, Sweepstakes and Lotto.

They want you to deposit the check into your account and wire
$2,570 via Western Union for the "processing fee." Only once you have done so the check will bounce and there is no $50,000. If it were real you wouldn't have to pay money upfront for a processing fee or taxes, whatever. They put a phone number of the supposed claim agents. It's 1-204-951-
0462, but it's a total scam! These people are conartists!

I don't understand how people can do this to other people! I
feel bad for anyone that falls for this. Luckily I did some research and found out before it was too late.
