They still cannot accept that invading Iraq was a huge mistake.
They claim to want to protect freedom yet are opposed to gay marriage and abortion.
They are "pro-life" and simultaneously pro-war.
They call anyone who disagrees with them "anti-american", "anti-semitic", or "troop haters" in order to get their way.
They hate "fags", and then subject us to a rant about how Muslims are backward because they do not allow women the same rights as men.
They are supposedly the opposite of liberals: and yet, if it wern't for the actions of liberals, women wouldn't be allowed to vote and slavery would still be around.

I see that you can only throw rocks at Coulter and Rush but give me specific examples of why I should not take them seriously based on facts.
Invading Iraq was the right thing to do, we are winning that war despite the liberals all out effort to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory
There is no constitutional right to gay marriage
Can liberals really not recognize the difference between a terrorist and an innocent child.
I realize that we are not allowed to question your patriotism but how many more wars do the leftists have to lose for us before we can ask those questions.

From a linguistic point of view (only!), yes.
Retardation is a process of slowing down something, and preventing accelerated progress or change. That's part of the core conservative mindset -- slowing down change and adhering to traditional ways of doing things.
But, no, conservatism is not a mental defect. It is a choice that says change should come slowly, and not until it's absolutely necessary.
