Is there any time in recorded history when there was not fighting going on somewhere?

I seem to remember a 3 day truce between Israel and Hezbollah, or whoever they were fighting, back in the 70's.

No brother, not in this world. And there will never be in this world. Wasn't meant to be, check the Bible. True peace will be after all is said and done.

Orwell said something about war is peace. He is right in a deep sort of way. Small conflicts have kept larger scale wars from breaking out which keep the world at large in a peaceful yet terse state.

Once you get more then a few people together you lose all hope of peace because some silly bugger always wants to be better then everyone else. Usually by putting them down, not by being great himself.

even if there wasnt a war anywhere in the world, it doesnt mean theres peace, people fight all the time, its nature, and its life, peace is unattainable, its a cruel reality

There wasn't even peace before humans, animals always have, and still do, fight brutally. Essentially, humans are animals.
