took my '06 chevy for a brake problem. After my car sits for several hours, then you start the car and put it in drive, the brakes won't work! Feels like you turned the engine off and trying to stop! Also, the whole car shakes when applying the brakes at highway speeds. I take it in to the chevy dealership and they take my car for two days and then call me up and tell me it's done. I go to pick it up and I see the service report saying they didn't do NOTHING. "Everything normal at this time" is what they wrote! I"M MAD NOW! I went to another chevy dealer and they found some kind of a brake booster vaccuum leak or something like that and the rear drums needed to be re-surfaced. My problem was solved now but I want to get the other dealership back for not fixing the car like they were supposed to! Their service manager never called me back to discuss! I hate chevy dealers...bunch of fat azzes sitting on their chairs doing absolutely nothing but keeping their chair warm And Who is fixing the cars? Some school yard boy or a fat azz santa clause who looks at the car for two days then rights “normal”

Forgetting the candidates that have announced their run for the Presidency - If you could vote today, on a write-in, for anyone NOT currently running for office, who would it be?

A friend of mine was pulled over a few weeks ago for suspected DUI. He was taken back to the police station where no sobriety test or even breathalyser was given until several HOURS after he had been brought back to the station.

Now correct me if I am wrong, Alcohol intensifies with elapsed time, and seeing as he very well could have blown a small amount over the limit at the time he got pulled over those several hours could have made it look like he was totally intoxicated.

He is not denying what he did was wrong and will take full responsibility for his actions, but doesn't want to have to take the punishment for a reading that could be inaccurate.

He has an attourney but wants to make sure that this is worth the fight before doing it.

So is it true that the longer that alcohol sits in your system the higher the blood alcohol level will be?

Its not that the housing market is in a slump, its all the people getting hurt by it. One of the republican arguments was that more Americans are becoming home owners and living the American dream. The mortgage companies, some of which were heavy contributors to republicans, put people into homes that they could not afford. Anyone with a brain would know that there would be a high foreclosure rate at some point. It was anticipated but ignored. You can't convince me that people did not know but there only concern was making money and the hell with what follows. This seems to be the way of things, especially with the greedy, single minded, short term gain republicans.

I just wondered, if this color scheme predated Karl Marx.
And where it came from, to me logically it should be the other way around.

have never read any official articals from the DNC regarding their implying that Bush stole the national elections. After all that ballot counting: once, twice, five, or twenty times. The results always came up with Bush winning. It was a real fight that all Americans had to endure. A honerable person should appologize. I bring this up because it looks as if Iraq may end up turning out very well in the end leaving the DNC in the need for another appology. Any comments.

Earlier this week the San Francisco city council held a vote to pass a resolution denouncing a nationside radio talk show host who is based out of San Francisco (David Savage) because of comments he has made about immigration. In order for the resolution to pass it had to be unanamous. The vote was 9-1. The guy voting against the resolution said he didn't agree with what Mr. Savage said but he did support his right to say it.

Are the liberals in San Francisco trying to outlaw Freedom of Speech?

Why is abortion the only platform conservatives seem to care about and are so bent on electing politicians who use this rhetoric to get elected?
I find it strange that conservative people care so much about the unborn, but not about people who are alive and struggling today. I understand the thought that abortion is not moral, but isn't war, murdering innocent people, unnecessary poverty, prejudice, taking from the poor and middle classes to become wealthy and powerful also immoral? Should the abortion platform be the MOST important issue when you are voting or is there a much broader range of important issues to be thinking about?

I personally love Joe's positions on a lot of the issues, but feel he isn't really running but to position himself as Secretary of State or Defense.

He's clearly the best candidate but with less than 2% of the poll and no money he won't get anywhere.

Bush Sr. was a top-mark student, a hero in WWII, an excellent athlete, and a great businessman.

George W. Bush earned a D average at Harvard, was a draft dodger, an alcohol addict, a male cheerleader, and a miserable businessman.

All in all, I would choose Bush Sr. to be my President again anyday over George W. Bush.

Does anyone have a list of the military postions (from private up I suppose) from WW2? My grandfather served in the Pacific as a white house correspondent and fought as a Sgt. Major, I was just wondering how notable that position would be.

Also, does anyone know how many Sgt. Majors there were?

Thanks

am i crazy or missing something here ? who here honestly believes that fox news is not biased. democratic candidates wont even go on most of the shows. i'm not gonna argue on whether their politics are right or wrong i'm just asking why the claim to be neutral and balanced but lean so much to one side. on some show if you dont agree with them your mic might be cut off, you might be called names, or even shouted at.

I am a legal resident and not a citizen of the United States.
But I love America and Americans and have had good education, training and work that fits my skills and many great neighbours, friends who like, accept me.

But there are a few who have tried to hurt me, right now I have a vicious and maniacal stalker who is proving to be dangerous, unstable and a power monger. I believe I can get into deep trouble for hating this man, I can be turned in as a hater so a target for watching by big brother.

Is this correct? So can a stalker be allowed to continue his sick passion and given access to my private space, on line access, phone and everything else under this pretext?
Is this fair treatment of individuals in society? Are there any women out there who would accept this kind of control over her and be ok with that?

"What haunted me more than anything else was that [President Clinton] refused to make a decision. Human lives were at stake – the lives of American service members and the lives of our allies who opposed Saddam at our behest and were now under attack. At a time when America’s honor and grander principles were being challenged and the world was watching our every move… the president was watching golf. ...I approached the president and said, “Sir, our aircraft are ready, bombs loaded, and waiting for your command…His reply destroyed my faith in him as commander-in-chief and convinced me that the greatest security risk to the United States was none other than…the president himself."

— Lt. Col. Robert “Buzz” Patterson, USAF (Ret.), author of “Dereliction of Duty: The Eyewitness Account of How Bill Clinton Compromised America’s National Security,” recalling his three different attempts to pull Clinton away from watching the Presidents’ Cup long enough to give the go-ahead to bomb Iraq)

Bare in mind the following:-
Raising the drinking age will NOT stop petty crime
HOW is it going to stop yobish behaviour on a large scale when it aims at creating a better atmosphere for adults?
Parents DO NOT KNOW or DO NOT CARE that thier children are drinking (broadly speaking)
Why should everyone between the ages of 18 and 21 be punished for irresponsible parents & people whom are willing to break the law

Yes it might save a few lives & a little bit of hassle but it'd hardly stop the troubled youths anyway.

Think about the loss of income news agents, pubs & clubs are going to be getting.

What do other people think?
