not yet but getting closer to it every day. groups like them, once they achieve their goal, they also lose their relevance, its just the nature of the business.

Allow me to narrow your question to just the NAACP for efficiency.
If you are not a member of the NAACP, no matter what your color, you might begin to see why their effectiveness is mediocre at best.
Continued mistreatment of black citizens in the United States and other countries is disgraceful. You needn’t look beyond any Internet news source, television, or any predominantly black city to find abundant examples of the “great disparity.” Many blacks find the continued struggle just to be treated like people so dauntingly overwhelming that that there is little room for anything remotely related to the pursuit of happiness.
We have postponed or outright canceled the very affiliations engaged for our benefit: NAACP, National Urban League, Southern Christian Leadership Conference, Rainbow Coalition, etc, because we are tired of fighting. Yet the energy for change has not diminished. It manifests as egregious behavior toward whoever happens to be in the path of a disillusioned hopeless being. The energy leaves us sideways because there is no other direction for it to go.
No, the NAACP and other civil rights groups have by no means lost their relevance. With your help and mine we can put an end to the awful way that black citizens are treated. In this way, we help heal the world.
Spread the word: the NAACP needs our participation now more than ever before. Please join.

Absolutely. When things are done against people and those who are percieved as Civil Rights advocates do nothing, there is no sense in them even touting the fact they are Civil Rights Groups anymore. What are groups like the NAACP, Operation Push and the National Action Network doing to defend in Court, innocent victims? Where are the Adam Clayton Powells, The Martin Luther Kings and other true advocates? It seems the Dream also died with them and are being disgraced by Media hounds! They are not what they once were during the 1950's-1970's. It's a very sad commentary to a once noble and worthy cause!
Frankly I am tired of the Grand standing and those at the helm of Civil Rights Groups lining their own pockets and never take on legitimate Civil Rights violations, never taking not one case to court!

YES
the NAACP is a victim of its own success. It has 'jumped the shark' with the voting rights act of 1964. After MLK there was no strong leader and no compelling mission for it.
Also its success was copied inside the African American community and without. First, the copycats, Nation of Islam, Rainbow Coalition, stole the last best parts of the struggle for publicity purposes. Outside, the women rights and gay rights movements copied the NAACP tactics, but without a clear issue and no charismatic leader , like MLK, these knock offs stole the social justice agenda from the NAACP
the economic expansion of the 90's tech bubble was the 'tide that lifts all ships' and many black Americans became well off on their own accord, the barriers the NAACP knocked down were gone and forgotten and so was the NAACP

information of NBP voter intimidation? there grow to be none. No court docket circumstances filed with the DA. The NBP is already categorized a hate team by employing the Southern Poverty regulation midsection and the Anti-Defamation League. What has the NAACP to do with the NBP different than that there are black human beings in the two companies? no longer at each and all the comparable element as asking the Tea celebration to repudiate racists interior their pass. Do the black human beings interior the NAACP and those interior the NBP all look the comparable to you?

Yes ...and no
The NAACP and other civil rights groups have shown to have a fair view in most of their endeavors. I do believe it is wrong that a minority is forced to get a job when anotehr person is more qualified ,but the company must meet a minority quota. Then again, would the company hire any minorities at all had that rule not taken affect? I'm saying with all the qualifications and whatnot, they probably wouldn't because, let's be frank, non-minorites still have an idea that minorites will more likely steal, rape, and not be as educated. Because of this, companies are hesitant at granting them jobs above janitorial level work(they'll risk a stolen mop). Again with education help, even with all the "help" minorities get to help them with college(I've had none by the way...for some reason) who is the lowest percentage of kids attending, its minorities. Whether you believe it or not discrimination is alive and well, in underlying notions and misinterpretations. In the non-minority point of view I most definitely see the flaw where tryigng to hinder discrimination for one group is actually feuling more discrimination ,but one must argue that the mental feeling towards minorities outweighs the social misuse of today. One day this will all be over as we will be so thoroughly mixed that nobody will give a damn ,but until that day...

Lost their relevance? Never.
Lost their effectiveness? Perhaps.
This is still a racist nation; the NAACP is more relevant than ever because racism is not as covered in the media as it once was. We still need affirmative action; we still need to monitor all the hate groups, particularly on the Internet.
But I don't know if the public is as aware of the existence of the NAACP as it used to be.

The goals of the groups are over shadowed by the grand standing and personal wealth accumulate of both Jackson and Sharpen over the needs and the rights of those they profess to serve. In other words Jackson and Sharpen are media whores only to serve their own egos and add to their own bank accounts

Is there an NAAWP? No. Is there a White History Month? No. This country's liberals have turned racism into reverse racism, which is just as bad. Blacks still cry "racist" every time they don't get their way. Is there Affirmative Action to help White needy people? No. Blacks are racists today.

yes crying wolfe on the race card too many time, and not people don't believe them even if there is a race issue. Plus they don't just defend the innocent they defend everybody which makes them like lawyers, even the ones who aren't lawyers. Some of these groups went from equal rights to make it unbalanced the other way not.
