I think yes, absolutely. There are cities all across this country where the local police and other civil employees can't arrest illegals, or even report them to INS because these cities have been declared "sanctuary cities", where arresting, or even reporting illegals by public officials, would be a punishable crime. It is a decision by the city (not the state, not the federal government) to declare themselves a sanctuary city. So it is the city that should be sued. The denial of federal funds to sanctuary cities is another means of leverage to remove this unjust law. I support these actions, the same way I support 9-11 families suing the airlines. Because the airlines knew for 30 years about potential terrorism, and yet never moved to protect their passengers. Suing in this case is not about money, as some here have asserted. It's about justice, responsibility, and using financial liability as leverage to remove unjust and absurd laws and situations, and punishing those who benefit from these injustices.

They're afraid of racial unrest. I bet this is going to happen a lot in Newark, I kind of live close to this city. Some of its people are good but some are very dangerous and jerks. The worry of the mayor and police is that blacks will take it out against Hispanics since the murderers were Hispanic. But from what I know blacks and Hispanics get along well in Newark.

No, Yahoo doesn't block questions. What might be happening though, is one or a few people with a strong opinion on the matter might be abusing the reporting feature to get such questions removed.

What did you expect? Yahoo is a far left liberal company and just like most liberal media, they don't like some things so they strike them down.

If they are they are definitely being a deterrent to free speech, this is a major issue with the illegal immigration problem and how our African American youth are being cut down proportionately more than any other ethnic group. We need to address both issues and the debate here would help thus Yahoo is doing us all a disservice.
