"We are socialists, we are enemies of today's capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions."

some groups of people tend to make decisions based on their emotions and then try to justify their decisions after the fact, with circumstantial evidence that they now label, "facts". after this point they become unreachable by logic. and i'm not talking about republicans

I was in a accident with a friend and she told me she's not suing my insurance just the other parties, but for some reason I don't trust her. If I was being sued by her would my insurance company inform me? She might just be suing the other person, because I got no calls or letters from my insurance that the was suing. Another one of my friends just hit someone from behind and she received a letter in the mail in a week that said that the girl was suing her insurance. Why didn't I get a letter or a call if my backstabbing friend is suing my insurance?

I am not getting sued, but am very curious. If you had invested HARD EARNED money in banks, IRS, 401k, mutual funds basically put your money everywhere, what can the Sue-happy leaches come after?

I would really like to vote for Mike Gravel, But I know he probably wont win, I am a registered Democrat (I'm really a Libratarian) I registered as a Dem just so I could vote in the primaries against Hillary.

Me and all my freinds are doing this, I suggest anyone who loves America to do the same.

So who has the best chance of beating Hillary.

And If I vote Democratic in the primaries can I vote for a republican in the Election. (I Live in North carolina)

MIKE GRAVEL 08
Or
RON PAUL 08
Or
ANYONE BUT CLINTON 08

Hillary Openly admits that she will continue to take money from lobbyist

during the build up to this war that was based on propaganda and fear anyone who opposed it was quickly labeled unamerican.
have we finally learned our lesson. or do we have to have a draft so we really think twice about going to. that way all the arm chair soldiers in the media will think twice about pumping the propaganda into our living rooms because their sons and daughters might be headed for war aswell.

The movie is called September Dawn, and is about a group of Mormon extremists who massacre a pioneer family moving through their territory in the late 1800's.

Gee, could it have ANYTHING to do with the fact that the GOP is putting up a strong Mormon presidential candidate? The fact that this movie is even being made is curious enough, but the timing of its release? Sorry, I smell a rat! Another Hollywood hit piece on the GOP.

I'm in the market for a secondary set of handcuffs. I currently carry Smith & Wesson model 100 nickel cuffs, and they are pretty good, but I need a pair of hinged aswell. I have narrowed my brands list down to 3 companies. Smith & Wesson, Peerless and Hiatt.

Can any police or security guards please tell me with your experience which of those 3 brands is good and which are bad and why? Also how would you rank them from 1-3 (1 being best, 3 being worst)

I have noticed S&W cuffs come standard with the slot-type double locking feature, and you can also get models with the pin-type double locking feature. Is one type of double locking better or safer than the other and why - advantages/disadvantages?

Lastly which models would you recommend from each brand and why (chained, hinged, or both) Note: I don't need the expensive high security models, just the basic but extremely safe ones. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks y'all.

I answered a similar question yesterday, but wanted to add some points:

That it's a victimless crime.

That those who speak out against it must all be racist.

That it's not really that big of a problem. (Come to a border state sometime).

That they're all just here to work (I didn't know their babies and children could work, or even their wives that stay at home, or their nanas who don't work..)

That it helps Americans. (Lowering the working wage to an unlivable level is helping? Not unless you're into slavery)

That it doesn't directly affect Americans (notice that everyone who thinks this lives closer to Canada than Mexico)

That everyone is illegal except for Native Americans, so be quiet (I'm a Native American. Ever heard of the Bering Strait? Plus, this is a classic logical fallacy and distraction technique, the strawman. Come up with actual facts/evidence aside from buzzwords and slogans and I'll talk to you)

That it isn't a bipartisan issue.

So my husband's Army reenilstment bonus hit the bank this morning. It was a $25,000 bonus, we were figuring that 30 to 35% tax would be taken out just as it was the last time he got a bonus but it was way more...only about half of that bonus hit the bank. He had it set up to all come in one lump some so my question is if you have recived a bonus recently how much tax was taken out?

I transfered it all to savings and dont plan to touch it until he returns from DSS just incase it was a misake, it just doesn't seem correct.

let me know what you think.

A previous post had the following as part of the question. Words fail me as to just how wrong and sick this idea is. I'm just dumbfounded.

"Unwed mothers who cannot afford to support their child will have it removed and taken to a group home where it will be raised, educated, and taught decency from a young age. Why not Foster Care you ask - too many problems and variables. Group homes can be monitored more closely."

Talk about a socialist state! I bet this person thinks Hilary is wrong when she says it take a village to raise a child.

There has been a monthly average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theatre of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2,867 deaths. That gives the firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.
The firearm death rate in Washington DC is 80.6 per100,000 persons for the same period.
That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in the U.S. capital than you are in Iraq.
Conclusion: The U.S. should pull out of Washington.

Bush Sr. once stated that if we invaded Iraq a second time, we would eventually have to withdraw, and a thug that would make Saddam look like a saint would take over. This was back in the 90s. One of the main reasons why George W. Bush invaded was that Saddam hired someone to assassinate Bush Sr. and Bush wanted revenge. Indeed, he once referred to Saddam as "the man who tried to kill my father." George Bush Sr. warned his son over and over again not to invade Iraq, and that he made a mistake in invading Iraq the first time during the Persian Gulf War, but his son would not listen. Sr. even started to get choked up at a speech when asked about his son's legacy after he leaves offcie, which will be fixed on the Iraq War, and many think he sees how much of a mess his son got this country is. I give Sr. credit. He was not that bad of a President for America compared to his son and it seems he has more sense than his son.

No revenue would come in from any other job such as field work, telemarketing, making clothing, washing & maintaining vehicles etc etc etc.

If all prisoners QUIT doing anything and just sat there, would prisons lose all financing thus having to release all but the haneous criminals that taxpayers are willing to really PAY to keep locked up?

It's nearly time to vote for the next President... and as an exercise lets run a little test real fast. Which of these men would you vote for.

Candidate A.

Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologist He's had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.

Candidate B.

He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart ofwhiskey every evening.

Candidate C

He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.

So, do you think you are above spin and propaganda? I would have thought I was until I voted for candidate C. Did anyone else choose the same as I did? If so, you just voted for Adolf Hitler. Candidate A was Franklin D. Roosevelt and B is Winston Churchill. Maybe this election.. we should listen less to the media and do more of our own research on the candidates.. what do you say?
