sure, these are dark times, but it'll be years before we find out how Bushs decisions will effect the world, and our country

and, last time I checked, we got attacked on the republican watch! (and spare me the 'it was because of Clinton') ... it happened on the republicans watch

why do we keep saying such ridiculous things?

Does language mean anything anymore?

with all this anger and garbage statements can we still communicate and understand each other?

No saying the election doesn't matter the person who gets the most votes doesn't almost 8% of the time that's ignorance, study our electoral college, learn how it works and why it is fair, if you to lazy to learn maybe you shouldn't be voting anyway.

My husband (currently is deployed) called and is very upset. Re-enlistment comes in Feb and he says his present job isnt up for re-enlistment. He doesnt want to get out of the navy yet because currently i am a student (full-time) we have 2 kids and we live on base. My husband says he wants to get a degree b4 he gets out, and says his dream is to be a electrical engineer. right now he is a electrician mate and he loves it. Electricity is what he enjoys and says he doesnt want to switch jobs. What are his options? He wants to get a degree before getting out? And he wants to continue being involved in electricity while in the navy. We dont want to leave the area right now while i am in college, what can we do?

I live in Columbus, Ohio . A man was sentenced to 3 years in prision for stabing his wife to death back in the 1980's . He only spent 1 1/2 years behind bars . Yesterday , he tried to stab his present wife to death . So far she has suvived multiple stab wounds . Why is it someone can do a minor crime and get 5-10 and then another person can murder someone or molest a child and be out in 1-2 years ? Is it due to race ? Is it the judges , the laws or both ? What is this world coming to?

This is my first question to be posted on yahoo. It looks pretty interesting and I’m hoping to get a lot of feedback from this question.

My specific question is from a growing irritation at today’s media. I feel that the lack of information that we get is frustrating in the extreme. My general question today is why do the networks focus so much time on celebrities and not on the real issues. For example the networks devote whole months of day to day coverage of Paris Hilton and Anna Nichole Smith and the likes. When the world is falling apart and we can’t get real information. Who cares what the celebrities are doing let them make movies and entertain us other than that DON’T DEVOTE WHOLE SECTIONS OF NEWS TO THEM. Very frustrating any thoughts?

Today was my first day of JROTC drill team. We learned the basics from our older and more experienced classmates.

I really want to get better and be at my best for drill team and/or Color Guard.

Do you have any tips to give me so I can get better and be good.

Should I buy a pellet gun so I can not only practice my shooting but practice drill team at my house?

I cant buy a real gun my parents wont let me.....If I should buy a pellet gun...what kind should I get...can you give me a web site link to it?

Day after day the news reports either someone has murdered their loved ones and then themselves or they have murdered their entire family and a few others for measure.

I have to confess when I was going through a divorce I "WISHED" my ex was dead. But I quickly realized that would only make things worse as it would harm my children. And finally although I was still angry I realized 1.) She was a human being and 2.) I loved her enough to marry her and have 4 wonderful children.

I just don't understand how you can hurt, whether it's beating or murder the ones you love. Doesn't it defy logic? Are they truly insane?

Back in March one of my cars that my son had been driving was vandalized. We had to find out ourselves who did it and how to get ahold of them, then we had to literally harass the local police to do anything about it. I have been waiting for months to find out when they would be going to court. They were not charged with trespassing only criminal damage and theft. One of them was out on $25,000 bail for something else. He was not arrested or anything for bail jumping. He was sending threats to my son thru myspace (which has stopped and my son asked me not to do anything about it) and I had to put up with his mother coming to my home and threatening me. I called the police and all they did was talk to her and tell her to leave us alone. It's been so long I gave up calling and asking when the court dates were. . All I want is my money it cost to fix the car and when I turned in the paperwork I added labor charges. Which the officer said I was entitled to. Finally got a call from the town attornory who said I couldn't ask for labor charges because we did it ourselves and he also informed me I will not be allowed to give a victim statement or say anything in court. What the hell is that, I thought I had a right to. I just called the town hall to find out what happened with the other kid involved, who was ticketed months ago. And was told he was supposed to go to court July 5th but didn't show up so they entered a default judgement against him for the tickets but didn't order any restitution. I was not notified of anything. I was being treated for cancer and not working so coming up with the money to get that car on the road was a real bummer. We had to do the labor ourselves there is no way we could have afforded to have some one do it. I thought I was entitled to give a statement in court and am entitled to restitution.

....Because nobody in america expected them to fall, except for Rudy, who told ABC news that he had been told the WTC was going to collapse (he didn't say by who), and probably the people who invested in put options on the airliners used in the events of 9/11 (whoever that was). According to the firefighter's tapes that were released a few years ago, there were minor fires contained to one floor that could be "put out with a couple of lines," just before the towers collapsed.

My point is, did osama know that the towers would fall if he had a plane fly into the tower? If they didn't collapse, 9/11 would only be a fading memory in our minds today. Somebody knew something....or had some explosives planted inside the building...

Are you all as sick as i am of having this constant round of change for change sake being forced upon us in this country ? Cannabis downgraded two years ago by Blair, now Brown is proposing to regrade it to what it was previously - because what we all said would happen has happened but these thick and ignorant MP's are willing to go on spending OUR money following other similar paths. Immigration - Blair was warned what would happen when he opened the floodgates - did he listen - NO! What have we learned from that ? Brown robbing the pension funds - he still obviously hasn't learned anything from that as he is reportedly organising another one ! But we who had good pensions no longer have our entitlement and why - because we are spending money hand over fist in Iraq and Afghanistan. Stop it now ! Our money should be spent on flood relief and getting our infrastructure back to what it was in the 1950's when we had good working practices - instead of a load of theoretic drivel!

Ron Paul isn't an isolationist like people repeatedly and mindlessly say, over and over again.
Isolationism is when the borders are completely closed, Ron Paul supports free trade with all countries while protecting our borders from illegal immigrants.
What drives people to not understand the difference?
Do the interventionists think it is OK for the US taxpayer to fund foreign boondoggles and tyrants? Why not just let other countries live in peace?

Due to Senate rules and the Presidential veto, the Democrats can not pass any legislation. We are still stuck with the Republican platform of killing, high oil prices, all poor children
left behind and a housing collapse. Note the 4 items mentionned
are all sources of profits for Republicans in addition to grants and
tax loopholes. 2008 and Hillary will change this.
