My fiance lives in the UK, I am a US citizen, he wants to get married in the UK.. what do I need to do? Is that possible if I am not a citizen? Do we need to get a different license? Any help greatly appreciated all the information I've found doesnt apply to US citizen marrying a citizen of the UK.

OK... Here's my story. I've wanted to be a Marine ever since I can remember. The conflict is I had childhood asthma (a disqualifying factor at meps). I haven't displayed any symptoms since 2004. Which would still be disqualifying because it was after my 13th B-Day. I am 20 years old. I contacted a recruiter and he advised me to not mention it to MEPS. I did some research and it seems recruiters do this often for various reasons. He said that I cannot get in trouble and if something happens I'll get a medical discharge. He also said that MEPS would DQ me forever if I told them about it. My figuring is that I'd like to attempt to accomplish my dream. It may sound selfish, but I'd like to do this. I just want my chance. Is the recruiter being truthful? What's your opinion? And has anyone been in similar situations? Thanks and Bless you all.

sounds to me like they want every job possible,every scolership,they want to say anything they want,but u cant say it back.is it possible the reason the black person didnt get hired was because the person whocdid was more qualified,or that the kid who got the scolership had a higher sat score and better grades,or is it the little invisible white man in every corner who changes grades,and job application info just so the black person didnt get hired.after all if the black person didnt get the job,or scolership it is cleary racist.and doest the double standard in this country actually make blacks look inferior.think about it,if they can say things whites cant,or they will be punished,doesnt that make the reason seem bacause they are not equall?

first off i want to say im a white , male , american citizen .

Staying up all night and filibustering seems pretty silly to me. Where are the "guts" of my party? Where is the substance? How can the Judge ORDER them to reach a specific verdict?
I thought the whole point of a jury was that THEY decide the final verdict, so what is the point of having a jury when the Judge can order what they like anyway?

A case I just heard on the radio is being concluded with the Judge telling the jury NOT to find her guilty..
My husband is about to do jury service but if the Judge overrides the jury's decision, why bother?
I don't understand.
How does it all work?
