" Apeasement" it's a true phrase Europe can't get out of their heads even with the Islamic threat

Even with the todays Islamic threat to the west , Europe have fogotten that "APPEASEMENT" in the last world war cost millions of lives.

Many quote the saying those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

I say history teaches us man learns nothing from history.

The world as a whole is tired of killing and fighting. The few with the strength of character to stand up & speak out are judged as being war mongers.

Just like WW II they can't believe a few could be so determined to do so much harm. They think they are more intelligent and will know when it's time to act. So they end up being weak educated fools.

Israel suffered it from day one as a nation but since it was confined to a small area & the british were pro-arab at that time they didn't really care. Several people tried to warn them that the terrorism would spill into the west in time but they were laughed off as being chicken littles. Even now I really believe it's beyond the scope of most in government surrounded by their ivory towers to believe in this day & age that so many could blatantly & willingly give their own life & the life of their family to kill for no good reason. Even if it meant being in control of a country made worthless and uninhabitable.

The kind of evil that lived in Hitler still lives in the hearts of others and it's still the least understood.

Forcing Democracy on other countries is hasn't the United States learned from Viet Nam, Korea, Nicaragua... oh never mind you probably won't listen anyways.

Oh and how do we appease someone who wants to destroy the west? Well bankrupting ourselves in an ill defined war against a vaguely defined enemy with no real definition of victory is a good start.

Most European countries have within living memory been over-run by war. The French are just a nation of collaborators, as history will prove. As for the Germans, they're so frightened of their own history, the Nazis etc., they don't want to do anything and as soon as they were threatened by the Taliban in Afghanistan, they drew back and did nothing, result, UK/US troops have to take up the slack.

I am entirely unimpressed with the EU when it comes to the business of managing conflict. They all just want to lay down in the road and let it all happen, hoping they will be okay.

No one is okay, we've got a serious problem on our hands and we've got to deal with it. Already the majority of the middle classes of Pakistan openly support the likes of al Qaida. See what's happening there already.

This crap is slowly spreading.

If Europe wants to be consumed, let it. We, UK and USA will go it alone if we have to.

its all falling on deaf ears mate, no one cares what the ordinary people of the country want. why do you think we have so many immigrants working for pennies, because greedy coporations are happy to pay them peanuts instead of decent wages so they can by another jag or bentley.

the true fact is that this country panders to every race and religion that enters it ,rather than making them acknowledge our way of life we have to accept theirs in some kind of friendly trade off incase we upset them.

Like you I feel appeasement is just taken as weakness and uncertainty. i do not want to get inti the lets kill all Muslims situation. The authorities must lead and say, "That is as far as you go, it is not and never has been what we do here comply with our law or go somewhere were you like it.
I refer to the Burka,forced marriages,honour killings in particular.

I also look with suspicion with arranged marriages because their is often a degree of compulsion there
