Marriage in the UK?

My fiance lives in the UK, I am a US citizen, he wants to get married in the UK.. what do I need to do? Is that possible if I am not a citizen? Do we need to get a different license? Any help greatly appreciated all the information I've found doesnt apply to US citizen marrying a citizen of the UK.

You have to apply for a marriage license in the US or US Embassy in the UK and for your fiancee to apply for a marriage license in UK so that you will be sure that your marriage will be valid under UK and US laws.
