Yes, there were female doctors in both the North and South of Viet Nam. I don't remember exactly which book it was, but check out some that discuss the local people and not just the foreigners who came to "help".

Can't say for sure about Vietnam, but the first woman doctor was commissioned into the Army in 1943, so it's likely there were women MD's in Vietnam.

Yes they were and they were all station in South Vietnam, mostly at Large Cities or major Airbases.

Well if they had them working in M.A.S.H. Units in the Korean War, they for sure had then in Vietnam.
So much so that two tv series were based on them:
Korea = MASH 4077
Vietnam = China Beach.
