Did the framers of the Constitution intend for a real parity of power or was their intent to give one level of government much more control?

He's a loyal GOP'er who has stood in support of the Bush/Cheney corporate Presidency, so why is he not getting the love and numbers to put him in the #1 slot of GOP contenders right now?

Any ideas or reasons about McCain weak showings so far?

I was arrested last year in July, 2006 (bum rap) by the local police. When I appeared at court, the case was not called. My lawyer approached the bench and the Judge said there was no record or case number. The court clerk said they had nothing either. My lawyer told me that no charges had been filed, so It never went to court. I later received a letter in the mail (from my lawyer to the prosecuting attorneys office) stating that he is representing me and to contact him also if any further action will be taken. My lawyer stated again that this case was not pursued. That was last August, 2006. Will this show up on a criminal background check? I have heard conflicting stories that since it never went to court, that it will not show up. Thanks in advance for any replies

Right so Rove asked this question:

“What’s the difference between “insurgents” and “Terrorist” in Iraq?

I answered with :

“Not much in the tactical sense. Insurgents refer to troops sent clandestinely from Syria and Iran to fight in a way that promotes an Iraqi civil war. Terrorist can have a myriad of reasons to create terror, and they do not care who gets hurt in the process. I guess you can say Insurgents have a government to support them while terrorists may or may not.”

Now I don’t see how anyone could thumbs down that answer...or am I missing something?

Hi everyone i was simply trying to eat at the Costco Food Court. As I attempted to enter Costco through the entrance I was denied b/c i didnt have a membership. Now i had no problem with this rule of there's. Yet i reuqested to see some type of documentation which shows this is a rule. They scatterd around for 30 minutes looking for any way to get me out of there establishment. They found nothing !

Eventually the manger came out and told me allthough they had nothing which show'd I couldnt eat at there food court I had no right to be there. Was a violated my due rights ?

PS
The manger had the nerve to tell me that they were losing money when people eat at there food court !

This is the offical petiton for the Yahoo! Answers community which states that we, as members of the United States of America, hereby call for the impeachment of the President for several reasons, including
-illegal wiretapping

- The long and inexcuseable delay of government help and aide to the Gulf states in the days following Hurricane Katrina

We implore the United States Congress to respond to this petitions, and procede tot the take the proper steps for impeahment.

Please pass this along to everyone you know on the Yahoo!Answers community. I am aiming to get at least 10,000 responses. To " sign" the petition, simply type " YES" as your answer.

This is the same day Homeland Security Chief and Pro-Amnesty supporter Michael Chertoff said this:

“We’re going to continue to enforce the law. It’s going to be tough,” Michael Chertoff said. “We don’t really have the ability to enforce the law with respect to illegal work in this country in a way that’s truly effective.”

We get this:

Nine Hudson County residents have been picked up in a number of recent U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement sweeps that captured 131 people, including a Dominican national with a criminal record living in Kearny, officials said.

During June, ICE fugitive operations teams fanned out across the state to capture 71 criminal and fugitive non-documented residents, and during the investigations also arrested 60 other people who were in the county illegally, said Adam Puharic, spokesman for the Newark ICE office.

Among the criminals caught was Ricardo Anthony Rondon, 31, of Kearny, a Dominican national who has a 2000 conviction for drug possession with intent to distribute, and a 2002 conviction for aggravated assault, Puharic said.

Our 2 Liberal Senators from New Jersey voted to give criminals like Ricardo immediate freedom and citizenship in this Country had that travesty of a Shamnesty bill passed.

Judging by the rising crime figures on guns?
It'll stop some crime, unfortuneately it will not stop all gun crime. but i still feel America needs to be more aware of selling guns as anyone could walk into a store and buy one.

Again i dont want Pro-Gun people going all ape over this so remain calm and anwser in a mature way.

Well, I’m in college 3.3 gpa and 20. But everyday I wake up and I feel empty, not sad or disappointed but just bored, I go to school and play videogames all day. No question I want to finish my education, undergraduate in Chem, then hopefully med school for Psychiatry. So, I think I want to join the army and be apart of something, but I can’t decide if I should just sign up as enlisted, wait a few more years and do rotc, or just not join at all, moneys no real problem. I like the prospect of entering as an officer, but by that time there will be no real wars to fight in. If I do enlisted, I’ll probley see action, but I will have slowed down my education. Army provides discipline and structure which is what I need. If I do none of these I don’t know if I’ll just get bored and start slipping up in my grades, I suffer from ADHD and Dyslexia so it’s easy for me to get distracted and frustrated if I don’t stay on the ball. So, political ideologies aside, what do you think?

My wife and I disagree on this? I say that Scooter Libby will live with the $250K fine and 2 years probation in order to keep the story out of the news which I think reflects badly on Cheney and the president. My wife says Scooter Libby will continue with the appeal and let the court decide possibly eliminating the need for a pardon from Bush. What do you all think?
