No. There are so many cases of false convictions for homicide that there is NO chance that a fair conviction rate could even be achieved, and the death penalty should probably be a thing of the past anyway.
Also, if a tiger is going to attack a me or a child, etc., do you think I should just stand by and let it kill me or the child, or if I am armed should I shoot it? I don't want to be killing any endangered species but if that species is endangering me I might have no choice but to defend myself by killing it. Are you then going to have me killed because I did what is natural - protecting myself or a child?

No, The punishment does not fit the crime. Maybe, jail time and/or a hefty fine would be sufficient enough in this case.
Killing someone for killing an endangered a specie is totally disproportionate to current sentencing guidelines.

ANIMALS ARE NOT PEOPLE. sometimes I like animals better than people but........ strong penalties should be imposed. and counseling required and work withe the endangered species required. My grandson picked a flower in the woods for me. It was an rare orchid what should happen to him. when the damage is done doing More damage does not reverse the event but education does, because you create another advocate.

Nope, everything dies off. Would you want the dinosaurs to be roaming around today? It's just another step in evolution.
