in listening to talkshows and commentary i heard several times the definition and proof that Bush and his administration is corrupt for Commuting a certain jail sentence. But a 24hrs scenario shows top secret schemes that prove a need for a president to pardon or yes even commute a judicial sentence.

As Americans celebrate the 4th of July today, Al Qaeda's top deputy Ayman Zawahiri is appearing in a new internet video praising jihadi fighters in Iraq and elsewhere. Dressed in all white and sitting before a news studio background, Zawahiri warns Americans that "Today, the wind - by grace of Allah - is blowing against Washington."

He also offers a message of confidence to the jihadi fighters in prison saying that victory in Iraq and Afghanistan will come soon.

"You must be patient and steadfast," he says. "Rejoice, for victory is near, with Allah's permission, and the herds of crusaders have begun to split up and their sole concern has become searching for a way out."

He sounds like the Arab version of Harry Reid... disgusting

We pay sin-taxes on cigarettes and alcohol to off-set the burden it puts on our health-care system. Should we pay a sin-tax on food that is unhealthy for us and makes us fat? Isn't heart disease, diabetes and other diseases caused by diet a much bigger burden on our health-care system then what cigarettes and alcohol cause?

A simple analogy: In America, there was a Civil War. The "South" lost. The "Confederate States of America" is not a country. Why don't people understand that losers of a Civil War are NOT in a position to make demands. That's that.

It seems to go something like this.

Some media reporter, Iraqi or Afghani family reports that American forces have killed 20 civilians and asks the US authorities about it.

They're stock answer is:

We have no information about that (a reporter knows but they don't?) and "we are investigating" that report.

And you basically never hear about that incident from the Pentagon again, though more media reports may follow.

Why is that?

Is it a valuable war secret?
Is telling the truth somehow aiding the enemy?
If you didn't killed civilians and lie this aids the enemy?
if you killed civilians and tell the truth this aids the enemy?
If you killed the enemy and lie this aids the enemy?
The enemy doesn't know whether or not they've been killed?

I don't get it.

P.S. Occasionally there is a followup, but its rare.

From wikipedia I read

Texas Monthly, calling Paul "both deeply principled and wholly uncompromised," wrote in 2001 that he does not take money from political action committees (PACs), is not swayed by Congressional lobbyists, only votes on his "deeply held beliefs" and does not cut "backroom deals." They write, "The phrase 'honest politician' is an oxymoron; yet in the sense that Paul never, ever votes against his stated principles... the phrase describes him." Along with not signing up for a Congressional pension, Paul's Congressional office returns money to the government each year; in 2000, the sum returned was $50,000.[12]

what do you think of this man?? he is amazing

Can you introduce an Iranian suicidal bomber in Iraq, Afghanistan, or europe or USA? Surely no, because Iranian people are peaceful. You know American government and Israeal government via Iraq government ( when Saddam was president) started war. Now we have a problem with Israel because they kill palestinian everyday. Why does US support this terroristic function? Except this we need to speak about everything and solve wrong view from each other.

Hi all!

I recently have been kicked out from my house from what I believe is lies told about me to the landlord from another roommate. I'm not sure to what extent she has lied but I am sure she has told the landlord that I stole $600 from her. Of course this is false. The landlord told me the reason was because her daughters BF needs a cheap place to stay. She mentioned nothing about what my roommate may have told her and when confronted she denied that the lies are the reason. If I can prove that my roommate was responsible for for their decision, can I purse legal action against my roommate for the lies she has told? Defamation maybe?

Thank YOU!

I read this on wikipedia about Dr. Ron Paul :

"He supports the U.S. converting to a free market healthcare system, saying in an interview on New Hampshire NPR that the present system is akin to a "corporatist-fascist" system which keeps prices high. He says that in industries with free markets, prices go down due to technological innovation, but because of the corporatist system, this is prevented from happening in healthcare. He opposes the socialized healthcare alternative offered by Democrats as being harmful as well.[32]"

So are we being led to believe that socialist programs are the only alternative when really there are better ways to approach healthcare??
