Freedoms comes with many inconveniences, but to give up any amount of liberty for so call safety and security; is that within itself a greater loss?

It is, by far, a greater loss. When you sacrifice liberties and freedoms for safety you become no longer safe from those who are supposedly "protecting" you.

I think freedom comes with many inconveniences, but my own experience tells me that there is not freedom without a law to protect your right to walk on the streets without getting shot or the right to have properties and do whatever you want without abusing or compromising your integrity and honor. My freedom ends when yours start, and that's why the rules and laws are made for, because too many people do not understand this.

You can only have liberty to a point where you are not obstructing another's liberty. You have yo consider the cost to the other person so I do not think that in all situations it will be a greater loss

Yes, absolutely. While I enjoy having both, I'd choose freedom & liberty over security any day.

After all, Patrick Henry's line was "Give me liberty or give me death", not "Give me security, and I'll live with what freedoms I have".

Freedom must not be sacrificed for safety and security since the government must use other methods to quell terrorism.
