Depends what you mean by failed? The British government have a policy of create a problem to find a solution. In this instance terrorism is allowed to flourish to a degree by staged and actual incidents to portray a high success in combatting terrorism to convey tactical intelligence and professionalism. The aim is to sell to you the electorate a policy of acceptance for ID cards which will take away your civil liberty completely. Don't be fooled by the **** you're being fed!!

The British Government is probably the most subversive in the world second to the US, quoting such virtues as democrasy and freedom, don't believe it!!

Actually, the first duty of government is to protect property from the majority. That is why the government was formed. Public protection has only recently (last 100 years or so) become an ideal, but the first reason for it's being always takes priority

Wrong. The first duty of a government is to engage and destroy the enemies of one's country. This ensures safety and freedom.

Where do you think you live, La La Land? Bad people are going to do bad things everywhere. Going after them and bringing them to Justice is what's important.

Your post sounds like you are a bit paranoid.

It's a stretch to say that "there are terrorists everywhere".

Seriously, settle down and enjoy your life. The British government is fine and in fact, doing an excellent job. You are very blessed to have what you do.

Surely it is everyones duty to ensure their own safety and freedom. You can't be laying responsibility for your life at someone elses feet or what would be the point of having freedom? Hmph

what do you expect ? the government to wrap you up in cotton wool and tuck you in bed every night, i don't think i want that to happen, prefer to take my chance's on my own, no country is safe, so except that and just get on and enjoy your life, death will come soon enough without worry about the possibility that you might just be unlucky enough to get blown up, in fact i think you've more chance of getting run over by a bus than anything else.

Oh come on now, we need more terrorist attacks.. Can't take away your freedom and make it a policed military state without having attacks so the governments can grab power and take away the peoples rights.

Yes this government has failed its citizens in many ways!

BUT!

By not bothering to vote in elections,- By not making our concerns clear by communicating them to our MPs - By standing by and allowing self serving MPs get away with feathering their own nests at the expense of everyone else!.

Then its our own fault for being apathetic..

We get the government we deserve!.

What a ridiculous question. It is impossible for any government to protect the population from all forms of harm. This is no more a failure than their inability to protect the world from having to read stupid questions.
