I would be if people were doing this in the name of my gods (although the idea of a group of angry, rampaging pagans is a little risible). Instead, all we hear is how Muslims and Islam are not to blame. Sorry? Who is then? Because it certainly isn't the Church of England! I'd be livid if this was being done in my name, but instead there is just a lot of shirking of resposibility. How do Muslims feel about this? I'd be dying of shame.

ps: I don't want anybody calling me racist for posting this, either, because that's just plain ridiculous.

I am an Independent and I am both a moderate liberal and a moderate conservative at the same time. I respect the Constitution and would die defending the Constitution and the foundations this great country was built on. The Founding Fathers were liberal minded and fought for our freedom and the conservative minded were holding hands with England and George III. George Washington our greatest President, even said the country should become more liberal. I like the liberal stances on concentrating more on the environment and supporting blue-collared jobs, and I like the conservative stances on being pro-gun and cutting extra taxes. I wish more people were more moderate than the morons who are too much liberal or conservative and are always fighting over who is better.

I am a firefighter for the City of Houston. In addition to the 72 hours that I worked this past week for the fire department, (none of which was overtime) a bulletin was issued requiring me to attend a 4 hour midday training seminar on my day off. This extra training was NOT continuing education nor was it anything that had to do with retaining my certifications. Can the city punish me for not attending this training seminar?

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

This is the first amendment of th constitution. I'd like your thoughts on weather or not displaying the ten commandments or a picture of Jesus, Moses, a cross etc. is a violation of it. Do you think displaying a crescent moon, star of David, Buddah etc is a violation? Why do Christian symbols seem more offensive? Our laws are based apon Christian teaching (ten commandments), so why can't we display them?

I read that while the media is trying real hard to ignore it....the movement to impeach Bush/Cheney is growing. Depending on the venue, the percentage of support differs. I'm wondering... what's your vote?

I'm not really asking why and it doesn't matter what party you represent....but feel free to share.

Is that a good summary of how environmentalists forced us to warm the globe by burning coal and natural gas. They wouldn't let us build nuclear plants. But, now many greenies want us to build nuclear plants.

Go figure.

Happy 4th!

This is my personal shout out to all the brave men and women who serve their country! The way i show respect, is whenever I meet someone and I find out they have ever or do now serve in the military, I always shake their hand, look them in the eye, and sincerely thank them for serving our country...that one small gesture goes a long way to let them know they are not forgotten!

How do you show your respect?

If the visa issued to a Filipino prior to receiving the plain ticket states VALIDITY: 2 MONTHS and the WORK POSITION/ DESIGNATION on this supposed visa states differently from the actual position offered by the employer, could this be bogus even if the applicant was interviewed in person by the foreign principal? Shouldn't the visa have at least 3years validity? I've read in one travel guide book that some applicants who had employers were issued a 2-month visit visa WHILE the resident/working visa is underway as this process is very tedious and takes a long time. Is this true? The recruitment agency justifies the irregularity in the POSITION because some employers opt to declare a position that would cost them lesser fee in processing the visa but would still honor the agreed position during the job offer to applicant. Is this true?

WASHINGTON - Like twin Jacques Cousteaus of the political world, President Bush and Congress are probing the depths of public opinion polling as voters exasperated over Iraq, immigration and other issues give them strikingly low grades.

In a remarkable span, the approval that people voice for the job Bush is doing has sunk to record lows for his presidency in the AP-Ipsos and other polls in recent weeks, dipping within sight of President Nixon's levels during Watergate. Ominously for Republicans hoping to hold the White House and recapture Congress next year, Bush's support has plunged among core GOP groups like evangelicals, and pivotal independent swing voters.

Clinton slams Bush over Libby maneuver
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070704/ap_on_el_pr/clinton_interview;_ylt=Apa3pDaL3wFiBUhsBVx3e5.yFz4D
KEOKUK, Iowa - Democratic presidential contender Hillary Rodham Clinton drew a distinction between President Bush's decision to commute the sentence of White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby — which she has harshly criticized — and her husband's 140 pardons in his closing hours in office.
As she campaigns with her husband for Iowa's leadoff precinct caucuses, Clinton has joined other Democrats in ripping Bush's decision. In the interview, she said it was "one more example" of the Bush administration thinking "it is above the rule of law."

Her husband's pardons, issued in the closing hours of his presidency, were simply routine exercise in the use of the pardon power, and none were aimed at protecting the Clinton presidency or legacy, she said.
