hey, just last night i was driving and a cop pulled me over. i didnt noticed that i didnt stop fully at a stop sign, i stopped but he said i didnt stop all the way. and i dont know what i did, i wasnt payin attention. anyways it happened on my block, and i was wondering if theres any excuses or ways out of this.

A foreign bank has sent me legal notice under section 138 of negotiable instrument act for cheque returned unpaid. As per them the cheque was issued against the payment of credit card.

I do not have any card of this bank and have never issued such cheque to anyone as described in the notice. My wife is very annoyed with me on this even though I have explained to her this is a wrong notice.

What are the legal remedies available to me? Can I file suit for defamation? Can I demand compensation for mental agony?

For you "anti-illeagls." I think the vast majority of ignorant people think Latinos or Mexicans are illegals. That's not the case. Half of the 12 million are and the other half come from all over the world. One more thing, you can say all you want against illegal immigrantion, you can put all you hate out there against Mexicans but one thing is for sure, that bill over there in Washington, ready to be sign, will go into affect so stop the moaning and complaining because really, it has nothing to do with you (that's if you are anti-illeagl).

How do you know if they are legal or illegal? There is one certain way and its when you see them getting social services, welfare, food stamps, unemployment checks, out on disability, out sick but playing sports, THOSE ARE THE LEGALS. ILLEGALS DO NOT (DO NOT) QUALIFY FOR NONE OF THESE RESERVED RIGHTS FOR THE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES.

just wondering...

i have 2 good freinds that I have know for over a year. One from school and one from work. I relate very well to both of them and consider them good friends. We never talk politics, but I recently looked through some online blogs/profiles they have, and found out they both classify themselves as "Very Conservative"

It won't effect our friendships or anything but I couldn't help but think "Are you kidding me, they can't be serious". I was in shock that 2 people that had this much in common with me were polar opposites in political views.(I'm liberal)

After the initial shock I just forgot about it and never mentioned it.

But I wanted to ask, has anyone had their views towards a friend or collegue after finding out their political affiliation was opposite to yours?

And if so, how did you react?

I went to the Marines recruiting office and pass the asvab and the next step was the physical for the next day. But i didn't show because i smoked a little pot the day before. They set up another date for me, and i missed it again. This happen 4 more times. I still wanna join and now i'm clean , i didn't smoke pot for a month and half. Would they still let me join? if you were the recruiter would you still let me join?

Last year I had a baby and was out on maternity leave and FMLA. I returned back to work 4 weeks early from my FMLA, I decided to use up the last of my FMLA last month in April before my daughter turned one and couldn't use the time anymore. While I was on FMLA with one week left I had to have surgery and have my gallbladder removed, so at that time my doctor placed me on disability for 2 weeks. I called my employer the friday before the Monday that I had to be back from my FMLA to let them know that I was on disability, my h.r. rep told me to send in my dr.'s note. So the following week when I went to the dr. for my check up the dr. gave me a note stating I was going to be off for one more week. I mailed it in to my job. That Thurs. I received an email from an ex coworker saying that she heard that I had gotten fired because I did not return from my FMLA. When I called them up on fri. they told me that I was fired because I didn't come back when I was suppose to. Is this legal? Help?

Presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton outlined a broad economic vision Tuesday, saying it's time to replace an "on your own" society with one based on shared responsibility and prosperity.

The Democratic senator said what the Bush administration touts as an ownership society really is an "on your own" society that has widened the gap between rich and poor.

what has happened to free speech. with each passing day more americans are being ostratracized and attacked for speaking out against the war and gorege bush.

the constitiution allows us to express our fellings freely, to speak up and speak out. unfortunately many of you will attack those who speak the truth or those who simply have an opinion.

in a very strange bit of irony in the country that most offers freedom its citizens seem unable to cope with the freedom that is given.

due to our inability respect and understand others words i fear that one day freedom of speech will be a thing of the past and we will live in an orwellian nightmare of government control.

jean paul sarte said that "man is condemed to be free". can we handle our freedom, is free speech important any more and are we ready to give up our lives to government control.

i love my freedom and i dont want to see it diluted or destroyed by those who do not apreciate or respect it.
