I've been reading the Reagan diaries, and, it is clear he used his office to form personal ties to leaders in the mid-east, in contrast with George W., should our next President be more proactive in this way to help along peace and diplomatic clarity?

A couple of years ago I seen footage on the news of a few Army men spaced out on LSD saying that their own people in charge (government) had given them to them. And its known that they were given drugs especially in the Korean war Why was that ?

If you want something done right, (i.e. stop terrorism, bring stability and democracy to middle east) should we:

a) do it ourselves (until its done)
b) have someone else try to do it, (iraq government) yeah right!
c) stop wanting it, (since it is harder than we thought)
