When my fiance and I get married in July am I able to use the VA hospital after this? He was disabled (back problems) We were together the whole time he was in the military and I couldnt us it then but when we get married and I able to us the VA hospital? What about our children? What about me having kids there? Any know or have experience with this? I tried to look it up online but couldnt find anything. Thanks

I recently moved out of my apartment. Now I am getting notices in the mail that I have ordered lots of products-cosmetic products, etc.-and the address the companies are given is my previous one. I changed my address with the post office but the person who moved into that address obviously received one or two pieces of mail that contained my name. Now they seem to be ordering stuff in my name and giving my old address expecting the things to arrive. They don't of course because I don't pay for them and because my mail is forwarded I am getting the bills! A reverse address doesn't find me this person's name and the person gives the companies false phone numbers. What do I do?????

I was wondering....what if I return the summons with "moved, left no forwarding address" on the envelope? Do they actually check that stuff? Would I get into trouble?

Additionally...if I totally ignore the jury duty summons and say I never received it, will they actually prosecute me or fine me for not showing up? I live in a major metropolitan area of Northern California.

I was recently married. This was an arranged marriage. I'm from the U.S. with Indian ancestry and my wife is from India. There is a 15 year difference in our ages. I have a difficult time dealing with her because she seems so stupid. Some people told me that she could be retarded. So I bought her a jigsaw puzzle for ages 10 to adult. She could not figure it out. She tried putting the wrong pieces together forcefully. I took her to a large cookout. She spent all her time talking and playing with young children and avoided adult contact. She can't manage her money. She cries easily. She can not speak any language very clearly. She is not coordinated enough to ride a bicycle, use a can opener or a paper stapler. She refers to me as father or papa. How difficult would it be to have this marriage annulled and what steps should I do next. The marriage has never been consumated in 18 months. How can I keep my sanity in the meantime?

For some reason, I get called for jury duty every single year. My husband and friends hardly ever get called. I have been lucky the past few times. Either my number is not needed, or when I go, I am dismissed in the waiting room.

I run a business from home, I have two children, and I can't afford to take time off to do jury duty. They just called me again for the middle of June and I asked for a postponment because I don't want this potentially messing up my entire summer vacation plans.

Please don't flame me with "civic duty" stuff. I have served on jurys before and I am tired of doing it.

Please tell me the best excuses to tell the judge so that I can be excused from service, in case my number comes up again at my postponment date.

My friend says that if you show a non-refundable airplane ticket you will get excused. I'm even thinking of asking one of my doctors to help me -- I have back trouble so maybe a doctor's note for that?

Corporations are to blame here. Why are we not seeing legislation that addresses the illegality of corporations hiring these people, and for a mere 50 cents a day? You can't blame people for trying to make a better life for themselves even if it doesn't seem so to us. You can however, blame people who for 'provoke a rotweiler' by 'throwing red meat on the other side of the fence'. There is no other way to address this problem, regardless of what our intellectually challenged president says. I don't want to hear its about money, power, politics, etc. I just want to know why our politicians and the people who elect them are so stupid? This is not a rhetorical question, but an invitation for those who want to take responsibility for their's or their contemporaries' actions.

Seems that Islamic terrorist feel that America is evil because of pornography drug and alcohol use and the breakdown of the family .
So since liberals are to blame for all these things in America it is them who caused 9-11 . RIGHT
We tried to defend them but they want us to cut and run . We may not agree with liberals and the troubles they cause but we will defend that freedom with our last breath . You liberals should thank us conservatives for defending you at great cost . We have spent billions that we could of used to by a new yacht or expand our vacation homes .

I'm only 31 year's old and am constantly summoned! I've received 11 of them & have already served twice. I've talked to numerous people at the jury duty commission & they keep apologizing & excusing me but I keep on getting them, like a month apart!

I have a home based pet kennel boarding business & I am the only person who runs it. I am single, have only an elderly father and disabled mother in my family, no employees, and 2 friends who have full time jobs. I cannot leave other people's live animals, esp. sick ones requiring medications, alone all day. Not to mention I have business hours 7 days a week which is advertised everywhere, reservations up to a year in advance which I cannot cancel.

I'm at my whits end! What would happen if I simply don't go? Has anyone not gone and what happened to you?

Are you telling me they couldn't sneak one suicide bomber to blow something up? Just think of the damage it could do to our economy if just a few bombs went off here and there.Nothing majority, but just enough to instill fear. Why haven't they done this?? Last I checked international affairs were up to the president and the executive branch. But Pelosi is traveling the world and acting like she has some kind of power outside the U.S. As the house speaker she still doesnt have the right to be going around undermining foreign policy which she doesnt even make. Besides its a waste of our tax dollars for us to be paying for her traveling adventures. I think she over stepping her authority and spitting on the constitution. What do you think?
