i think of whilst it includes the Marine Corp, it truly is like this. The Marine Corp giveth, and it taketh away. they may be attempting to instill in you an skill to concentration on the job to hand. no rely if it truly is shoving chow down ur neck or something like dismantling an explosive, look up from that. In a attempt against subject, you have a appropriate to no longer something. each and every breath is a latest, and a latest from the Corp. God positioned you in a backyard, the Marines positioned you in attempt against. until now they did they positioned into you skills to adress any subject, one conventional ability is an skill to maintain on with instructions, and to concentration.

They do the same in the Army. Basic Training is about building discipline and that's just one of the exercises they use.

If that really happened, it was making you do as you were told, when you were told but I highly doubt it happened. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt this time but it sounds like you got that from a movie.

They do a lot of weird crap in the Marines.
I joined right out of high school - and quit two weeks after I showed up at Parris Island.
Fortunately this was back in '92, and we weren't at war - they didn't want anyone there that didn't want to be there.
I was doing pushups for the 3rd time that morning because some other moron couldn't shave correctly. I finally just stood up - the drill instructor started screaming at me to get back down and push, and I just stood there. Finally, he drug me into the master drill instructors office where they proceeded to tell me that I was a loser, and was never going to do anything with my life (amusing, since I work for an architectual firm now doing electrical engineering).
I realized that these people were all batsh!t crazy, and got as far away as possible. I understand how they have to do some weird stuff to get people ready to go out and kill indiscriminately, but it definitely wasn't for me.
Call me a pu$$y, or whatever - I've got too much intelligence to have some redneck d.i. sit there and scream at me to do pushups. It was the best decision I made in my entire life to get the f**k up out of there.
