at the terrorists in Iraq might be the main reason why the US hasn't won the war in Iraq by now?

When reading an article on Yahoo! on the presidential elections, I read that Obama was going to try and implement a universal healthcare plan where Americans without healthcare can afford it and those without plans would now have plans. The article goes on to say it would cost some $50-$65 billion dollars.

The war has cost us around $368 billion and could reach as high as $811 billion shortly. So, the question: would you rather spend our money on war our having affordable quality healthcare?

Why?

First question:

Do you tend to lean toward a liberal political ideology or a conservative one?

Second question:

Does it annoy you when U.S. products have packaging/instructions in multiple languages (Spanish in particular), does it make you happy to see it, or are you apathetic?

Is it the opportunity to die in vain in some roadside bomb in a country that hates your guts and will likely pee on them as they lay exposed? I just don't get it. A lot of my cousins and extended family members are joining up and all I can do is shake my head in disgust. It's not like the beginning of the war when we thought we were fighting for a reason....

The ACLU's goal is to "protect" people's First Amendment rights. But as they win court cases banning this and banning that, they are violating other people's First Amendment rights. Could they be considered uncnstitutional for that?

What does that tell you about them ?
Specifically I'm talking about Yahoo Answers . Yahoo does an on-going blog about various topics and 'interests' . The other day , they saw fit to post a blog about the WWE . Stupid if you ask me. . .IMO . But then they follow-up today with a blog about a. . . .. . now get this. . . . a 'featured' starrer !! Yes, Yahoo saw fit to honor a guy who stars lots of questions about barbecuing . But not word one about our fallen soldiers on , of all weekends. . . MEMORIAL DAY .

This will not do !!

I invite everyone to answer that blog, as I did and many others did, chastising Yahoo for this clear omission . Ya know , I can't stand the N.Y. Times , and they buried the news story about our guys freeing 42 Iraqi Hostages , but they did report it .
Yahoo Ignored Memorial Day entirely !!

What Does That Say To You ?
And
Will You Answer That Blog And Tell Em What You Really Think ?

Standing ramrod straight in dress blues and crisp khakis, the seven color guard members lifted their rifles for one of the most solemn moments of any Memorial Day parade, the 21-gun salute. Hundreds who had gathered to witness the tribute watched in silence.

Just then, the eggs came flying. One glanced off a tree branch, and landed far away from the marchers in yesterday's Memorial Day Parade in Rockland, said Ryan Durfee , a former Marine who was marching in the color guard. Another crashed 8 feet in front of the color guard.

"Too close for comfort," Durfee said last night.

After the throwing , Durfee said he saw two teens run from their backyard into their house, and two police officers chase after them.

Rockland police said last night that they arrested two 13-year-olds and charged them with disorderly conduct and assault with a dangerous weapon, a felony.

Out healthcare system has a TON of problems... I am not disputing that... and it need a lot of work to get us on track again.

But why do Liberals think that socializing it will fix the problem? Hillary's plan in the 90's forbid people from seeing a doctor of their choosing... even if they paid for it themselves. Big government has never fixed anything.

Socialized healthcare has failed everywhere it has been tried. It results in people dying because the line to get care is so long...

What will be different about any plan currently proposed, that will prevent the kind of massive failure we have seen in EVERY other country on this planet that has socialized medicine?

Why don't I have a RIGHT to choose what doctor I see, and how I pay for it?

Again, I agree that we have problems in the present system... but I dont see how our government can get it right... they dont have a very good track record for getting much of anything done right.
