Presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton outlined a broad economic vision Tuesday, saying it's time to replace an "on your own" society with one based on shared responsibility and prosperity.

The Democratic senator said what the Bush administration touts as an ownership society really is an "on your own" society that has widened the gap between rich and poor.

"I prefer a 'we're all in it together' society," she said. "I believe our government can once again work for all Americans. It can promote the great American tradition of opportunity for all and special privileges for none."

It's communism, by any label. And you're not paranoid.

If you add up all her statements, it comes down to government control over private property.

It's fair to draw comparisons with communism or even socialism. It's also fair to draw comparisons with FDR's New Deal which helped pull our country out of the Great Depression.

I don't care for Hillary because I think she's full of crap but I also think that in America today we don't have the best education, health care or standard of living in the world and we don't have the least number of prisons, poverty-stricken children or illiterates.

I think it's fair to say that we are not living up to the promise of our Constitution or the work of the Founding Fathers. Although Hillary's leftist policies would arguably not be good for our nation, the policies of the far-right neocons have definitely not been good for our nation.

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of "liberalism," they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened."

Have you ever noticed that the people that go to work and actually contribute to society are the ones that are acting responsibly, and the ones who sit on their lazy rears milking welfare agree with Hillary. My question is, why is it my responsibility to take care of these lazy people?

The government health care program she wants is socialistic to say the least.

Actually, most of what she said in that article sounds great. But knowing Hilary, there is a lot of other stuff she would include that wouldn't be so great.

Unfortunately we live in a society that believes that the few are responsible for the many. Only problem with this scenario is that you bleed the few dry and who pays then?

The only commie thing about Hillary is her fashion sense and being in bed with China economically--like most of the other great traitorous scums we have in office now.

Yeah it does sound like communism or socialism.
And when was a communist society ever really prosperous?

Ask anyone from an old eastern block country which they would prefer....

To someone with a very limited understanding of political and economic systems - and who hasn't bothered to really understand what Hillary proposes for America - it may sound like communism.
For anyone with an elementary school education it sounds like what it is - a move towards a better more prosperous America.
