This is something I have noticed.
The United States is very active in the world stage, getting involved in pratically everything from military matters to human rights around the world. The same can be said of the UK, Japan, France or even Russia. Even distant Australia is also heavily involved in world affairs. I think they are in the forefront quelling terrorism.
However, Canada seems to be taking a low profile in world affairs. While I cannot say we did not get involved, we don't seem to be in the forefront of things. For example, we are not in Iraq, are we? Likewise, Canada did not seem to be directly involved in dealing with rogue nations that have nuclear power. At least we are not in the forefront of things.
Why is it our government chose to take a low profile in these matters? After all, are we not a big country? We are even bigger than the United States.
