I do not know about the other services but US Navy regulations state that females may only have one piercing per ear, no other piercings allowed. Earrings worn must be 4 or 5 mm balls, silver for enlisted and gold for CPO's and officers. In basic training you are constantly having personnel inspections and medical exams. Nipple rings could/will be visible and you will be ordered to remove them. You could also face "punishment", usually in the form of extra PT (physical training) as a result.

I would advise against it. I don't know the current regulations, because I went to basic training in 1991. You will be doing alot of physical activities and they might get, bumped or scraped or pulled on during the training.....the low crawl etc. Toward the end of basic training you will be in the field for a week and you won't get to shower which is just not sanitary, might get an infection on them too. Hope this helps.

in case you're lady, you're basically allowed to have one earring in each and every 365 days, and that they could be conservative, like diamonds or pearls, jointly as in uniform. No cartilage or the different piercings jointly as in uniforms are allowed. in case you may take piercings/adornments off for artwork, which would be superb. Tattoos could be coated up jointly as in uniform, the two by way of outfits or band-aids. JROTC is generally incredibly chill out, so i don't understand in the journey that your commander might ask you to eliminate un-approved adornments. yet for genuine militia or ROTC in college, they're a different no-no.

I knew a chick that did.

But, her dad was a General and she didn't do a whole lot of extra stuff.

You will have to low crawl probably 3 miles total while you're in basic. If you don't know what that is, you drag your body on the ground and your head is even laying on the ground while you drag yourself along.

Like someone said, "I would advise against it" :-P
