I am curious if the employees should be aware of this and if there is any laws out there that I should be aware of considering this situation?

I work for the penal system and per federal law we are not allowed to know if the inmates are carriers of any diseases because of doctor/patient confidentiality. But if you are exposed to any type of blood exposure you can request that information. Your best bet is to use universal precautions in any situation which is basically wash your hands and treat everyone as though they are infected.

under data protection and medical confidentiality laws, your employer is obliged to keep this information to theirselves, however they are also bound by a duty of care not to put other employees in danger, so this means you must not be placed in a situation whereby you will be required to mix bodily fluids with a HIV-infected person. Unless you work in the pronography industry I dont think you will find yourself in this situation

Go to your supervisor first, this will cover your butt , if you don't
and you tell your co-workers yourself, you could open yourself
up to a lawsuit for invading their rights. But there is a law
that states anyone knowingly infected with aids that infects
another person could be charged with murder.

Why should you worry about it.If your not in contact with them personally with their bodily fluids and not haveing consented relationships with them then don't worry. They do have the right to there privacy and would you want some one blabbing to everyone that you have aids or some other contacious disease.I think not.So don't worry.

Why would you need to know? I mean does your job make it probable that you may come in contact with their body fluids? If not than I don't think it is anyones' bussiness.

NO. Nobody should know. What difference does it make? If you had herpes would you want everyone to know?
Unless the employees are having orgies...
