I support Pres Bush, I support the troops, i support the war on terror in Iraq, Afganastan, and hopefully soon in Iran. What i dont get are some of the soldiers who come back from Iraq who publicly bash the troops, the president and the war-- But I was under the assumption that soldiers-and vets- do not come out against their own- unless they are cowards like John Kerry.
I saw a panel discussion on tv the other night, and there were several American vets, who fought in Iraq- they did nothing but bash the war, bash pres Bush, and bash the troops. On one hand i want to concider these men heroes, but then I see them as turncoats who betrayed on thier country. Should they lose thier va benifits for being traitors? idunno- I think they are confused or shell shocked from the war- I really don't get it- WHY would these soldiers turn on thir own? Confusion? Cowardice? I have a world of respect for the troops, but they do NOT have any right to critisize the president or question the war.

And he shouldn’t have another chance to cause more problems for our great nation and if Hillary was serious about wanting the BEST for our Nation she would bow out the race NOW where we can focus on the other candidates with MORE ETHICS and INTEGRITY?

I was struck by a car on September 26. The doctors who took care of me decided to place a titanium rod in my leg, which now runs from my knee to my ankle. Each end is secured by two bolts. Due to the rod, I am already walking again! It may ,however, be a little longer before I can run comfortably( I can jog short distances though) and continue my regular PT. I'm kind of scared that I won't be accepted now because several marines and a former Sailor told me I will have a VERY hard time being accepted for the Navy SEALs, if i'm not just turned down completely. So my question is: If I prove myself to be in exceptional shape, would I have be accepted?
I would prefer that only military members (former or active) answer this question.

On a related matter.... do you have a job and enjoy a steady income?

If you think the country is greedy and you actively pursue an income, how do you resolve this curious position you are in?

Do you hate yourself? Or do you just feel guilty?

I understand that in India where I have a friend who is an alcoholic and also very wealthy cannot make a will because he is alcoholic, therefore of unsound mind. How can he make his wishes known in case he were to die suddenly? And if he were to die suddenly, would he still be considered as dying intestate when he is considered to be of unsound mind? His wife is a pain in the *** is just waiting to get all his wealth!

So I recently moved and lost my sons birth certificate. I need to apply for child support and thats the only thing im missing. I called the hospital where my son was born and they told me to get in tough with "wwwsdarcc.com" My two options were to mail in a application for new birth certificate form, which seems too easy doesnt it? OR go to a local office, but the offices are in california (where I used to live) When I looked up offices in Maryland (where I live now) they say it can take up to 3-4months or longer! My ex is an awful person who hasnt been helping out at all or called to see how we were doing in 5 months. Im kind of at a standstill i'm stuck i dont know what to do??? Does it really take that long?

From the beginning of time, humans have murdered each other. Why do otherwise intellegent and principled people continue to believe that murder is justifiable and effective? Murder may solve an immediate need for revenge, a response to an immediate fear, reward, compensation or justifiable punishment, but the fact is that Capital Punishment is not effective as a deterent. Chistian's have a special responsiblity to not kill others, to not murder others because Jesus was himself murdered in a legal manner of the day and it was unjust and ineffective. I just don't get it! How can the same person proclaim to believe in Jesus and support capital punishment? What happened to forgiveness? Jesus preached forgiveness. How can it be ignored by Christians?

I dont really know how to ask this but i dont understand what all of these people mean by saying support our troops.

does buying a yellow magnet for your car mean you support our troops? does being pro war mean you support the troops?
when i got out of the NAVY all i saw was america at the mall. saying we support the troops.
first off i dont believe a country should cheer and rally any war. they should moarn when we have to fight, our brothers and sisters are dieing. next you should join if you really support the troops . no more excuses they raised the enlistment rate to 42 yrs. old, so you should join. only a few people visit you in the hospital, and send care pacages . (more did at first but that got old real quick it must have interfered with thier lives)

please explain to me what this means to you. i served and what i see here at home is not what i saw overseas.
ww2 had huge parades after it was over. will this one?

A while ago my boyfriend was arrested for an OUI, which is the same as a DUI. Anyways, the case was "continued without a finding". He has never been in trouble with the law before, not even a speeding ticket. He never does anything like this, and will clearly never again. He went to school to become a cop, and actually worked as one before as a reserve. Will he be able to get a job as an officer? or has this ruined his chances for good.

I was at a bar the other night, and a guy was arrested for disorderly conduct. When he was bailed out, he came out with a gash taken out of his nose, and a huge welt on his forehead. He said that the police had washed his clothes for him because the cops said they were covered and caked with blood. Upon further investigation on my part, I spoke with the bartender of the bar at which the arrest took place in the parking lot of. There is still the blood in the parking lot from where they smashed his face against the ground. I asked the bartender, generically if there was a scuffle with the police last night, and he said “yeah, actually, some guy got the **** kicked out of him by the cops.” I’m just wondering about the legality of them washing his clothes without his consent. By the way, this is in Washington state.

It just makes me sick that we are letting these people into our country and letting them have our benefits that we and our ancestors have worked so hard for. They're collecting welfare and s.s.benefits that they haven't even earned. The worst thing is that they dont have to pay taxes or even pay to get into our country. They should pay double taxes for 10 yrs. and they should have to pay 10%of thier wages made here for the first 15 yrs. then I would feel better about them collecting our benefits. The government expects us to speak thier language and everywhere you look now in our country there are 2 languages wrote on everything. It's not right.I was at the B.M.V last week and a mexican was getting his drivers liscence and had an interprator with him.If he cant read English then he dont need to drive let alone be here.Boy I wish we could do something to stop this. Its out of control. It really has gone too far.I feel very strongly about this and it makes me sick.Does anyone else feel the same
