There seem to be many cynics out there, claiming this is just an excuse to raise 'green' taxes, etc, but for anyone over the age of 30, is it not crystal clear that the climate is changing at a frighteningly rapid pace? I mean, NYC was downright hot at Christmas. Today, it is snowing in London, but 3 days ago it was 20 degrees....regardless of what is causing it, this is clearly bizarre and worrying, is it not?

My situation is, I accidentally misjudged a yellow light and ended up in the middle of the intersection, when the light turned red, and this is one of those intersections with the red light camera's, that take a picutre of your plate, and then you get mailed a ticket.

However, I wasnt the only one, and the other person, MAY have been blocking my plate, to the camera, or may have set it off before my plate was in view.

The address on my license and registration is old, although I do have my mail forwarded with the post office. But I just dont trust the post office, to deffinitely forward it correctly, esspecially cause it's been like 5 months since the move.

So, I want to figure out how I can check to make 100% sure that I dont have an outstanding ticket.

At school our parking lot got messed up from all the snow and the entire row I usually park in is covered so no one can park there. I parked in some other spot today and when i left school I found a note saying the person was going to kill me if I park there again. Im not stupid so i know the kids not gonna kill me, but I know who the person is. So what would be the best thing..legal or illegal to do to this person for threatening me?

When people drink, they tend to do wild, reckless, and dangerous things. Alcohol is a mind-inhibithor, meaning that it affects your judgment, your self-control, etc. But should people be held accountable for crimes they commit when their judgment can't tell them not to? Should we instead charge them with alcoholism and nothing else?

Should the dems have explained to the reps that these programs need to be funded, that Social security was never meant to be a retirement program, and that the govt is not allowed to borrow money from the funds? Seriously, you cut funding for schools, and then blame the people who thought that every american should be entitled to an education?

Suppose America had a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Would we be starting a new war every 2-3 years as we have been doing?

But we have a government run by multinational corporations, billionaires, and Jewish and Christian fundamentalists. And you can see the consequences for world peace.

Just as Russia is starting to awaken again from its long sleep America decides to put missile defense shields right next to Russia and within short firing distance of Moscow and St Petersburg. This would be like Russia putting missiles on the border of Canada and North America or putting them back on Cuba. Perhaps it seems America dont like other powers competing with them?

Nobody wants these missiles as a recent regional census stipulates that and if Europe really did need them they would put them up themselves without America telling them too. So will this stupid sabre rattling arrogance of America cause another arms race or will they back down and stop being so confrontational and arrogant. Its like two kids saying ive got bigger weapons than you so any imput to the outcome of this would be gladly received.

phrase used in the business world and what it means is change can only come if ideas from sources outside of the company or industry is constantly being brought in.
Today we see Ventrue capital buying up companys that are either going broke or seem to have reached a peak in their earning potential. The companys stuck in their insular management thinks they are most effecient and a buyer seeing possabilitys buys , reorganizes, and within 5 yrs and no more than 7 they completly transform old entity into better form.
On many projects within an industry it is soemone new with fresh ideas or ideas he can incorproate from his past experiences that turn out to be most valued.
Companys get too stuck on their own self worth, feel threatened by insider, build empires within and thereby stifel attempts at change. The mess our military has made of Iraq, lack of quality leadership, and bureaucratic politics of Generals who know no better or keep quiet, job scared!
Time to reorganize?
