the state of Illinois took my taxes this year and had no right to do so. now that i have proven that they had no right to do so they are dragging their feet to give my money back. every body is telling me to call them every day and bug them about and they well get tried of hearing from me and give my money back. is this wise or will it back fire in my face and piss them off so they take longer?

Lol, I see it on here everyday, liberals complaining that republicans rigged the 2000 and 2004 elections. Then right before the midterms in 06 they said "they are going to rig this election to, the same diebold machines are being used etc. etc.", then when the polls started showing that the democrats were in the lead they started screaming "they are just letting us have this one so it doesnt look like they are rigging all the elections, THIS PROVES THEY RIGGED IT!"

Lol, cummon the liberal way has always been to fight for the opinions of others as long as it agrees with the liberal way, but when you scream election fraud and the results are different each time it just totally discredits you.

I sure hope the vote is rigged though for 08 so that way maybe this country has SOME hope, cause if the dems win my taxes are going to be so high and my property value worth so little i dont know where else I could move.

I have an appointment for US visa interview soon. I've been a permanent resident of Canada for about 1and half year now. I went to the university in US from 2001-2005 as an international student with F1 visa. when I moved to Canada, my F1 student visa got expired so currently I don't have US visa. I've been working at Canadian Tire as a full time employee for a year now but my wage is low and I'm concerned that I would be rejected bcause my job here isn't secure enough. I wonder if they might think 1and half year is not long enough to settle down and be financially stable in Canada and think that I would want to go back and stick in the States. I don't know.Am I thinking too hard? Do I have a good chance? How should I prove to interviewer? they're usually picky. Is there anyone (especially PRs of Canada ike me) who has gone through this process? I just want to hear from somebody who is familiar with this situation and might know and understand the US visa interview process very well

Why spend anymore money on this Valeri Plame non-sense. The only reson this is getting any attention is because she is hot. When you drop the kids off at school everyday, then go to your office, which happens to be the CIA building, you are not exactly covert. If she was covert why didn't Fitzpatrick go after Armatige. Libby has had his trial for purgery. Same offense as Clinton. Case closed. Why are they still wasting money on this?

In reality, thousands of troops believe in what they are doing in Iraq. Democrats just want our military to fail in order to make Bush look bad. If our troops didn't want to be there, why are there still thousands of people joining our military every month?

I received an email today with the link to a book that has been published regarding the predictions of Nostradamus. This link will take you to a sample page given on the web site.

http://www.nostradamusonline.com/sample_chapter.php

As for me, I will purchase the entire book, which can be downloaded in PDF format.

I see many things going on now that are in line with what he had to say, and are especially interesting because of how long ago these predictions were made.

I have decided to put this under Government and Politics because of the issues that are stated on the sample page, and since his predictions deal with the future in that regard, this is an area that has the traffic with the most profound insights. (BTW, that's a compliment to everyone) This has nothing to do with what side of the political fence we are on, but as 'a whole' of society.

At the moment the United States goes around the world telling us what is right and what is wrong and also putting up its own missile defenses around the world like some kind of emperor.

So looking at the evidence of how much influence Russia has at the moment in most Islamic states when America has none, how long will it be until Russia and its Chinese and Middle Eastern allies start dictating to the US what they are doing.

Contrary to the US, Russia has been a world wide force multiple times throughout history so how dare it tell Russia how to act in its own affairs and interests. If anybody needs telling about empire buidling dominance then its the US for sure. Any feedback on the US hegemony and meglomania would be welcome.

There are many of you on the internet that support Ron Paul, and my question to you is this:

Do you think Ron Paul has any real chance of winning the Republican primary?

and

How dedicated are you to helping promote Ron Paul to those that are unaware of his candidacy?

Im 19 male right now (20 in May).

I want to become a police officer, but I dont really know what type of education I need.

I am currently enrolled in my local community college, but I am not taking any type of classes that go with any certain program, because I have been unsure of what I have wanted to go to school in, so I basically just been taking general education classes.

I should have around 45credits at the end of this semester, and will take 7 more credits in the summer, all general education, no Majors.

I read that you need to have Military expericence, which I have none, and do not plan on attaining either,

Or will I be good with just an A.A.S in CJ, or a B.A. in CJ.

What about the police acad.?

I live in michigan, and am unsure if I can just go into the Acad. when im ready to and completed enough education, or if I need to be sponsered by an agency before I do so.

Looking for advice from current/former police officers/

I was eating my lunch, and two army recruiters came up to me. They wanted to give me their business cards, and I told them "No thank you, I have a job where I get to keep my life, thank you". I said it very politely, and they laughed at me. And then tried to give me their cards anyway. I wouldnt take them. I have a friend that just went back to Iraq for the second time, and he dosent think he is coming back. His family and fiancee have already made plans for him in case he dosent. I support our military, honestly, I do. But I just dont want to join because of the current situation in our government. So was I wrong in what I said? Opinions please?

I pulled over and so did she but she stayed a good length behind me. My car was not badly damaged - just some big scratches and dings.. but I was ok. I turned around to see her out of her car and she jumped back in and sped off. I was so angry that I followed her and flashed my lights and beeped my horn to get her attention - she just sped up. I got her tag number and the police came out. They filed a report - but I am so angry. They said they were going to charge her. What will she be charged with?? Does anyone know what the penalty is? I mean my car is ok, I will fix it and I am fine, but what if I hadn't of been??? That lady would have left me!! The Nerve of some people!!

He's a minority advocate. So? I thank him for his work. I'm a black professional NYC resident and feel allot safer because of his activism. I know that rouge racist cops will think twice about "slammin and jammin" blacks for no reason because they know he's out there and there's going to be hell to pay if they get out of line.

I have been the victim of rouge cops in the past. Stopped and harassed for NO reason coming back from a client meeting.

He keeps things from getting swept under the rug. Un-like in the "good old" days when the bad cops could do whatever they wanted. And no one was there to make a fuss and bring attention to the matter.

And people call Al. he doesn't call them.

NASHUA, N.H. - Republican presidential hopeful John McCain praised a new apartment building for homeless veterans as a welcome contrast to the shoddy conditions recently revealed at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington. Many veterans end up homeless due to a great many jobs going to Communist China and of course the war supporters do not care about the Veterans. Shame on the USA.
