Absolutely!! The hi-tech airplanes of today require that those who pilot them be top of the line. Many people begin flight training and many are washed out. You want to be a pilot then you had better start now to hit the books and go far beyond that by taking as much math and science courses that you can get.

I know the Army has a Warrant Officer Program that trains pilots for helicopters. You do not need a degree for that, but you do have to apply and go for selection after your initial enlistment. Call a recruiter or career councilor in the branch you are interested in, they can give you exact details for what you are wanting. Good Luck!

For jet aircraft, yes. Only the army has a fixed wing and rotary aircraft school (Ft. Rucker, AL) that trains non college graduates in flight training but the army doesn't have any jet aircraft.

yes. the only pilots that do not require a 4 year dgree is the Army's Warrant Officer progarm, which trains helicopter pilots.

No Ryan, you can fly any single or twin engine aircraft, the question is whether any company would hire you to pilot their equipment commercially

Yes and you should probably go to a University with an Airforce ROTC program. You also have to have perfect vision, and physical coordination and be in excellent physical shape.
