I am the only one being let go. Replacing my job with one more technical. I will be 9 mos along when my position ends, after training my replacement. In PA, which is an at-will employment state, but does this sound fishy? I have 10 days to sign a separation agreement saying I won't sue. They offer severance which will cover the baby's birth and three months past.

I am from New Orleans, and for YEARS we have had one of the worst school districts in the country. Could it be because most of our school board members are Democrats? Maybe so.

If a school is doing poorly, they increase funding for the school, to help them improve.

If a principal does very well at a school, they send him/her to a bad school to try and improve it.

So what happens? Schools do not want to improve, because they lose funding; and principals have no incentive to do better because they will be sent to a worse school.

Of course, the Public school system in this country is SOOOO good (along with the Social Security system), we also want them to be in charge of our health care!!!!!

Watch this video

Go to CNN.com and watch the video about the 13 year old boy charged with 128 felony charges. In the video the reporter says when child services visited the childs home, they discovered several issues, one of which was clothing on bare wires.

Ok, call me STUPID, but what in the world does clothing on bare wires mean? This seems like government is going even more nuts than I dreamed possible. what is your take on all this?

I have heard of several books that attempts have been made to ban, such as Andrew McDonald's Turner Diaries and Hunter, as well as Hitman: Technical Manual for the Independent Contractor as well as others.

Despite the objectionable material found in them by certain groups (including the government and foreign entities), what justification does one have for banning a book in the US. I mean is our society so fragile that a book could collapse it?

From Jefferson through the end of the 19th century, our federal government, primarily because of manifest destiny, systematically took lands from American indians using a number of methodoligies. One, plain and simple, was viloation of land right uses given to Indians in previous treaties. Guess what, the Indians are now suing in court. Should the Indians be given lands they lost through our Federal governments violations be given back to these tribes?

I am thinking about joining the Army, I would like to know what are my chances of being sent to Iraq. I actually want to go and help out. Rather than being trained and then stationed here or elsewhere in a non combat situation(in Germany, Japan, South Korea for example), I want to be put in the middle of the action.

I would like to know (if you know how)what would best be my chances of being deployed to Iraq? Do i need to join a certain branch of military, a certain this and that and something else? I know that not everyone gets sent there. how does the military choose and decide who to sent and who not to?

I have met many Americans who usually tell everyone they are from Canada, in order not to be mocked.
