none whatsoever. he is entitled to medical care and whatever percentage of his base pay that was granted to him by the Med Board.
seems awfully greedy.. 'kick back".. whatever happened to the vows you took.. for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer?
now, if you need some alone time, and many caregivers do, then you can look into Respite care, whereby somebody comes in for a day to watch your spouse while you get some relaxation in.

First, have you tried the VA website? Secondly, if he is 100% disabled, is he 100% employable or 100% unemployable. If he is the 100% unemployable, he should (and you) be eligible for social security disability benefits. Try that for a start. Those two options would be your best bet.

He may be eligible for a VA Special Pension called Aid & Attendance. I would check with the VFW or American Legion. They have people specially trained to help disabled veterans identify what VA pensions they qualify for and to assist them in applying. A&A is a "means tested" program, so be prepared to give them some financial and asset information.
Each county in Ohio has a Veterans Service Commission who will also help in determining and applying for VA benefits. Your state may have a similar program.
The responder below is correct about the Disabled American Veterans also being able to help you. I didn't think about them. I do NOT agree with his comments about the VFW and the American Legion.
Good luck!

Aid and Attendance, also Social Security Disability, the Republicans tried to take it away but the DAV caught them.
You may both get something from Social Security.
Go to the Disabled American Veterans they will help you. The American Legion and VFW are nothing but shills for Karl rove et al

Ummm, no. They pay your husband a minimum of $2610 a month for being 100% disabled. That is your benefit. Ask him to pay you for being his nurse, I mean wife. I sure your husband and thde rest of us disabled vets would just love to "kick back" too and remember that not long ago we had our health like you.
