Why do the media seem to credit our enemies more than our troops?

I don't know that it effects insurgent morale as much as it does our troops. I would love to see more stories about the whipping we're giving them over there, numbers of insurgents killed, and how they always fall back and retreat when they are made to face our military. But you won't see that from our media.

I don't think it makes much difference other than pushing poll numbers which ecourages Democrats in congress to speak up. Not that that makes much difference.

Our troops know more about what's really going down than we do, they get news from their own media in addition to CNN/Fox/MSNBC, plus word of mouth grapevine. If the American media here was being grossly inaccurate, returned troops themselves would make a big stink about it and it would stop. The people who make a big deal of media 'inaccuracies' are mostly career anti-MSM political operatives who never even sniffed a tour in Iraq. If anything insurgent activity has always been underreported.

Whereas Iraqi insurgents get their news from Arab media, and have their own press releases and media contacts and grapevine. If they want to please any media, it is Arab media so financial supporters like the Saudis see they are doing something with the millions of dollars being sent to fund the insugency. I think that matters more to them than American bad news or polls. Though it has to be a marginal moral boost for them -- just like when GWB does a 'mission accomplished', 'the corner has been turned' is a boost for us.

First, they didn't credit the Iraqi insurgents above our troops. Reread the story.

Second, the press did n't use those terms until after the Iraqi insurgents had shhowed themselve s to be exactly that. Its an accurate description of their demonstrated capabilities.

So don't blame the messenger. Blame a president who was warneed time and time again that he is on the wrong course and chose to ignore that advice--and to ignore the welfare of our troops.

No they would not. Its the same as aiding abeting the enemy. Each time they see or hear how well they did in their last attack, and how they have bounced back from some sweep we performed, it gives them hope. The media are imbedded with left wing Liberals who are bent on seeing the administration embarrased and the US fail in Iraq. If a Dem were in office this whole war would be the most wonderful thing since sliced bread, provided it would have begun in the first place. Its more likely that we'd all be dead or dying from the second and third WMD attacks on our soil by terrorists.

The insurgents will do what they do anyway, press or no press.I wish we could be as brutal to them as they are to us.We put OUR men on trial for far less than what they do to our troops. If we could do what it says in our Bible"an eye for an eye" they would think twice about what they are doing but we are too civilized. They SAW a Marine's head off and we do not avenge this action.I do wish we could be as brutal as they are but we cannot and they know this.WE should explode any car parked on the road we need to use,we should set these insurgents up in front of a firing squad with their backs turned and be done with them. Our laws do not pertain to them ,they know this.and they use it to their advantage.

Well, first of all, most of the media is liberal or on the left. So, they will spout anything that makes Bush look bad. To answer your question, no. I believe that much of the media is responsible for the attention that islamic radicals get. They (the insurgents) thrive on it and it proves them right everytime they see chaos in The U.S.. They are aware of the liberal hate for our President; They are aware that many Americans are ready to pull out the troops; They are aware of the division of our country and they are feeding off of it! They will not stop. Why should they?? We're giving them EXACTLY what they want!

because the terrorist warring parties are entering the country from different international locations alongside with Syria, Iran and Afghanistan. those who ought to wrestle adverse to (or for) a authorities of a united states they are from doesn't be insurgents. the U. S. and GB are sacrificing very a lot to convey democracy to a united states that has been, for too lengthy, below the thumb of a consistent, genocidal dictator. the in person-friendly words element that Islamofascists understand is rigidity and, brother, they are seeing lots of it. it really is hoping for his or her decimation.

Yes. Iraqi militants don't read the American press. They don't CARE about what which newspaper says about which attack. Opinion in America is completely irrelevant to them.
