If you are bleeding badly, do you continue with what you are doing, or stop and fix the problem? i'd say even after the problem is fixed staying put wouldn't be a bad idea for a period of time either.

I certainly do. There has just been too many things going on that have muddied the waters so deep that we need to halt, step back and make some sense of this fiasco!

That might be necessary. If we stop taking any immigrants for a while at least we couldn't be called racist for our policies (well, some people always would). It's too bad that we can't just stop immigration from the places that have sent us the most illegals. That would never be accepted. If we did this I would want the people in mid process of legally immigrating to be allowed to do so. Just stop accepting more applications. And I would only want to do this if we are going to seriously work on deporting the illegals and enforcing our laws. No way would it be fair to stop allowing legal immigration and let these people stay and continue to benefit from their crimes.

How do you be attentive to the Spanish-speaking guy replace into unlawful? ny city is crammed with Spanish-speaking people and that they are no longer all from Mexico. people from Puerto Rico, a U.S. protectorate, additionally talk Spanish and make up a great area of ny city's inhabitants. i'm replace into born in Miami (Florida) this is now greater suitable than 50 p.c. Spanish-speaking with many American-born 2nd (or perhaps 0.33) technology voters from Cuban origins. There additionally are Colombians, Costa Ricans, Guatemalans, Nicaraguans, Santo Domingans etc. some are unlawful, many are no longer. For years the united states has strongly resisted the belief of issuing national image-identity enjoying cards (even although further and extra states are generating image-identity motive force's licenses). in keeping with risk it's time to start registering voters (who're, for the main area, registered for social protection numbers. Our toddler daughter gained her social protection card till now her first birthday besides the fact that if she did no longer initiate working till she replace into an adolescent!). it may smack to a pair of "huge brother". on the different hand, it rather is one thank you to start bringing unlawful immigration under administration.

Mr bush has us convinced that the terrorists are out to get us .. If that was the case ,they should be able to walk across the mex border . so for 800 kajillionzilliontribillion dollars (plus intrest ) we will have the games held in middle east . I think the war would be a lot cheaper If we had it over here. no travel or bording expenses, or mabye we could have a home and home series ? best of seven , the WWL world war league. invite teams from china japan russia etc. Just think of the licencing possibilities pay per view, team colors playoffs etc . to answer your question NO just pay them what americans get paid and bring up the minimum wage too

Stopping legal immigration is not going to put a halt to illegal immigration. People will still be crossing the Rio Grande at night. People will still be flying to the US on business, as a tourist or as a student and then remaining here illegally. Even if you made impossible to enter the US legally for any reason, there would still be thousands of people sneaking across the border.

Yes. Until we get a handle on the illegal immigration problem, we should stop all immigration. Why do all of these people want to come here, we are hated all over the world, but everyone wants to come here. Go figure.

Since we have MILLIONS of ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINALS flooding over the border, I thing legal immigration should stop. We can't take care of everyone and other countries (e.g., Mexico) shouldn't demand that we do.
This does not mean that the effort to DEPORT ALL ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINALS should stop! No amnesty to the criminals that are here.

YES! It should be stopped immediately until they can get a handle on the situation, rather than let it keep spiraling out of control.

No, its not fair to punish the people that are willing to do things the right way. Our ancestors were all allowed to come through the right channels, and we should give other people that chance, too. Plus, completely sealing the borders would just increase the rate of illegal activities.
