Mexicans in the United States?

It just makes me sick that we are letting these people into our country and letting them have our benefits that we and our ancestors have worked so hard for.They're collecting welfare and s.s.benefits that they haven't even earned.The worst thing is that they dont have to pay taxes or even pay to get into our country.They should pay double taxes for 10 yrs. and they should have to pay 10%of thier wages made here for the first 15 yrs. then I would feel better about them collecting our benefits.The government expects us to speak thier language and everywhere you look now in our country there are 2 languages wrote on everything.It's not right.I was at the B.M.V last week and a mexican was getting his drivers liscence and had an interprator with him.If he cant read English then he dont need to drive let alone be here.Boy I wish we could do something to stop this.Its out of control.It really has gone too far.I feel very strongly about this and it makes me sick.Does anyone else feel the same

My ancestors are the native American Indians who were already here (US) after them the Hispanic Americans (from Mexico), later people from England. Ignorant people always generalize. Not all undocumented immigrants don’t pay taxes (except sales taxes that all undocumented immigrants have to pay and certain federal taxes that are included in some services like telephone). If IRS has collected $8.5 billion from Social Security and Medicare (contributed by undocumented immigrants) only on year 2004 is because many undocumented immigrants are paying taxes too. Other undocumented immigrants use social securities of others and all these people do not receive benefits. Many undocumented immigrants earn miserable wages; don’t have vacation, sick days, work overtime without receiving extra dollars for that, investors don’t offer them a health insurance. Who win? the government and investors. If investors exploit these undocumented immigrants to cut expenses, this means investors increase their revenues if they increase their revenues they pay more taxes. Therefore, these exploited undocumented immigrants pay or contribute to the economy double than many of us. The government knows this and that is why they have not done anything to protect the US border. Do extremist politicians take into account all of this when they show expenses in their states? No, never. In addition, the US exports corruption by transnational, military men spread around the word. US also intervenes in “third word countries” governments, it has the money to do it. It does not ratify international laws to protect transnational and military men around the world. These transnational many times destroy the microeconomics of those countries where the undocumented immigrants come from. All of these things make these people to leave their countries. Besides that, these transnational buy local businesses in “third world countries” since small businesses cannot compete with them. Later, these transnational sell the products and services to "illegal" people in the US. And the money undocumented immigrants send to their families members also return to the US by the transnational as well. Again, do extremist politicians show this contribution when they show their financial reports? Never.

Instead of doing something to protect the US border or legalize undocumented immigrants who contribute to this nation, the government of the US has provided ITIN to undocumented immigrants. It is so clear the position of the government and investors of the US. If they want to get rid of the illegal emigration, they have to stop exporting corruption to “third world countries”, stop intervening in third world countries governments, stop spreading military men around the world. However, I don’t think that the US government will do it. The US will lose its empire and the European Union will take place. In addition, the US is a consumer country, which depends on other countries natural resources. Latin American countries as well as other countries of other continents are not poor. People are poor because of the corruption of those governments, extension governments of the US. These countries are rich in natural resources as well as human capital/labor force that the US needs to survive. In addition to that, the US could increase the number of visas that issue every year to those who are waiting to come legally and at the same time could provide more visas to the countries where the undocumented immigrants come from to benefit the poorest people, the ones who are more devastated by the exportation of corruption. Nevertheless, the United States does not do it to have more undocumented immigrants in this country to balance its economy. If there are undocumented immigrants who have been in this country for 10, 15 or 20 years, it means that the US really needs them. Why not legalize them? Regarding the language (English), the native American Indians who live in this country also have their own languages. They also appose to make English the official language for the consequences that this will implicate. In addition, in some countries of Latino America, English is the second language instead of the language of our ancestors. In El Salvador, many employers require Salvadorians to speak or write in English since there are many transnational and the issue of the globalization that is hitting the world. However, I do not hear people, especially extremists US citizens to criticize that. I am sorry if I make you angry, but this is the reality that many people do not want to see. I did not mention all the contribution of undocumented immigrants either.

You are absolutely right, they work under the table and draw Social Security and food stamps, I know this for a fact, walk into any Social Security office and see. The people in Texas told me that they have to give them Social Security, America is a free ride for them, they contribute nothing. While most peoples grandparents can't afford their medicines, the government shells out millions to this scum.

all i know is that you and anyone else that feels the same way you do are a bunch of ignorant . . . if you took a second and stepped outside the box you'll realize a lot of what these mexicans (and all other illegal immigrants) contribute to this country. I'd definitely love to see you in the middle of July in the middle of phoenix, Az working on a pot hole, or fixing a pipe that isn't working properly, or digging through the ground for whatever reason it is they dig while the hot sun beats down on you and it's 110 degrees out. Don't feel so bad now do you and if you do you're still an idiot. The thing that people like you fail to realize is that you don't understand that these immigrants have a tough enough time supporting their families (usually not even living within the united states) but they also have to deal with you people treating them like crap. many of you consider the "slum" of this country but take a second and look at how they fulfill their part in keeping this oh so wonderful country running. they do the dead end, crappy jobs just to be able to send money back home. they don't complain and you know what most of them are usually more punctual when it comes to monthly rent payments, etc. you "americans" are more irresponsible than they are most of the time. oh and by the way if you really want to get technical this piece of land you call home doesn't even belong to you. You're probably some white boy; italian, french, whatever it is you are and guess what buster either you or you dad or granddaddy are just as much immigrants as these mexicans. and yes i agree with one thing they should learn english but why can't you be less of a prude and learn spanish? would it kill you. how about you ask the NATIVE AMERICANS what language they spoke and learn their language

YEAH!!! My dad has worked his entire life. He became disabled in May of 2004. He suffered a massive heart-attack, however he was not eligible for medicare until he was on disability for at least 2 years. When that 2 year mark came then he was denied because he has a four-wheeler and my mom has a newer mini-van. Give me a break. A U.S. citizen who has worked his entire life, paid taxes, etc., and can't get help.

I put the same question up recently and was greeted soundly by people calling me racist. I don't know your personal feelings, but to want to stop illegal immigration is not a racist thought. The people who will tell you otherwise have no other arguments to use. We need to stop illegals from coming to this country and kick out those who are here already. Period.

Name me one family who has not ate a meal in two weeks who would turn down job after job as they are lazy and it's easier to strave than work. Just so you know illegal immigrant come from all over the world. Europe, Asia, Africa, etc. What we need to do as American citizens is have our government enforce our laws and require them to punish the unlawful hiring of illegals and deport illegals. We cannot allow illegals to have babies here and claim those babies are American citizens (anchor babies). If you are here illegally or are on vacation your child even if born here is a citizen of your own country and not the United States.
I'll be honest I am politically incorrect. Cut special programs for illegals and make English the official language of these United States.

absolutely. don't care if they want to come here, that's what has made our country what it is. but, they need to do it legally. they have become a drain on our economy, caused anti-latin semitism (and vice versa), and not to mention breaking laws. we are a nation of laws. why we continue to allow this total disregard for national security and threat to our own economic stability is beyond my comprehension. makes me sick as well.

These people are trying to better themselves, and if the government would make it easier for them to become legal citizens then there wouldn't be an issue. I don't see you complaining about all the Asian and other Foreign Nationalities coming over here and sitting on their butts living off government money, with expensive cars and nice homes and 6+ kids! Also, considering you are so ignorant... They don't get welfare and they can't receive social security unless they are legal citizens, which means they have just as much a right to collect them as you do. These people work hard putting a roof (I work at a Truss company and over 80% of the people working are these "people" that you despise- and since I do payroll I know that the taxes come directly out of their checks each week) over your head and food on your table. Who do you think is out in the orchards in the middle of the blistering heat summers picking fruit to go to cannerys and grocery stores for less than minimum wage? It sure as heck isn't some lazy white person living in a trailer park collecting welfare. And as far as them not speaking english... like I said before, if it was easier for them to become a legal citizen then there could be programs in which they learn english before they are awarded citizenship. And they aren't they only people in our country that need translators... aren't you educated enough to know that you can go to almost any doctor's office and they have everything posted in at least 3 or 4 different languages. You have to be fair, they wouldn't expect you to go on a vacation to Mexico and be able to speak perfect Spanish!!! Get over yourself!!!

ur ignorance is totally blatant.... my mother has been in this country for over than 20 years and she has done nothing else but work, although she gained her amnesty in '86, she has still been working for minimum wage. although her conditions have been improved, she does not stop working. she is an example of a good citizen, no record, just working and tax paying. so it totaly sickens me when i see people like you talk bad about my race when all we do is work, and just because a few of us f*** up doesnt mean we're all like that, not like your race is anywhere close perfection... look at the history books bob, and ask the natives about your ancestors
