When I was raped I had a pregnancy scare, and was faced with the decision as to wether or not abortion was an option. i was curious as to where everyone here stands on it, and wether anti abortion supporters make an exception for it.

my personal stance ended up being that i wasnt against girls that abort because of rape (im usually anti-abortion) but that i personally couldnt abort if i was pregnant

I've noticed that republicans like to say that liberals want to take away our rights and yet they remain silent about all of the rights that we have lost under neocon rule. Is that because they only get their news from neocon news outlets? I suggest that all republicans include Lou Dobbs in their list of news shows to watch. He reaveals the ugly truth about both parties.

People like OBama should not comment about the war in Iraq as Obama has not been debriefed to the highest level and does not understand army protocol or procedure regarding iraq.I was told about many mistakes being made by the armerican army (Unorganised) ?Trying to use large vehicles in the small streets in iraq ,getting vehicles stuck between buildings and now you know why so many america soldiers are dieing in iraq as all the equipement in the world cannot beat a good army trainer. So i say to america leave the real fighting to people with experience and planing like the English army and australian army.So you americans can keep Obama and your TV presenters and movie crap as Aussies do things properly and dont whinge when the works to hard.American fools.

A Pulitzer-Winning Photographer's Suicide

Farai Chideya talks to Dan Krauss, the director of The Death of Kevin Carter, an Oscar-nominated documentary about the life, work and suicide of a Pulitzer-prize winning South African photojournalist.
Carter's winning photo shows a heart-breaking scene of a starving child collapsed on the ground, struggling to get to a food center during a famine in the Sudan in 1993. In the background, a vulture stalks the emaciated child.

I agree that there needs to be immigration reform. There are many reasons,.
However, I've heard a lot of disgust from different people (mostly caucasian people) about immigrants. I've even seen a person goes on a rant because "this is America" when a spanish annoucment came on in a store.
OKay, unless a person is a full blooded America Indian - that person has ancestors that came from other countries. In fact, our country was established by immigrants from England in the first place...
Please give me some feedback on this. Flaming or mean spirited answers are not needed. What i do need is people to tell me why they believe this way or that and also anyone's thoughts about my question that would help me understand. Thank you.
