No. But I would make him pay for hit. If he refused I would pursue civil legal action.

well, if you want him to compensate in the court of law, you would have needed to do a police report and call your insurance.
option now is to do a delyed police report....
If you prompted the horsing around or participated, it will impact the outcome probably in his favor.
if it was more than 24 hours ago, there really is no point in doing it anymore, although you can try to persue it civily, i wouldent waste the time.
take your car to carsmetics, they have this thing they use like a really strong suction cup, and makes dents look brand new, not very expensive.

That is something I would report if you want to report it for insurance purposes. That is considered criminal mischief, at least in the state I work in. I would report it but you have to think of your work relationship with this guy as well, you have to deal with him, and was it something that was an accident, somebody just being stupid, did he refuse to pay for it, is he aware. All kinds of other questions.

Without witnesses, it's going to be he said/she said, and the police will probably not get involved.
Take pictures, get estimates, ask him for the money. You could go to small claims court to try to get the money if he refuses. "Try" is the operative word here.

you can speak to him about it first and maybe have to demand he pay it, but if you're going to call the cops you're not afraid of damaging the relationship. Talk to the boss or supervisor too, maybe after you give him a chance.

You should get a repair quote and tell him politely to pay up. If he refuses, seek law enforcement help.
